He stood up and manipulated his soul and Qi and spread it out. At first it only spread out 10 meters but as he got used to it he managed to keep widening it.
As he continued to expand it he suddenly met a wall. It wasn't the limit to his soul sense, instead it seemed like a powerful figure was there. He quickly retracted his soul sense, the powerful person was probably the branch leader.
Even though it was just a branch of the Celestial Sect. The Branch leader should be a Domain Lord.
Thinking to himself he decided he should continue his cultivation until the war started.
....
Time passed quickly, 2 weeks flew by and the war was starting soon. He could've tried to stop the war prematurely but he found that too stressful.
He wanted to stop it with pure power, not politics. He wasn't smart enough to be involved in that.
He shook his head, in these two weeks he'd cultivated seriously. The Nascent Soul was divided into four stages.
Soul fusion is when your soul fuses with your body by connecting it with your spiritual mound and core. Soul strengthening, in this stage you nourish your soul with Qi to make it stronger.
Soul transformation, at this stage your soul transforms, you can use your soul to attack others physically and spiritually. Although soul attacks exist before this stage they are much weaker.
Soul rebirth, at this stage your soul can leave your body for periods of time. Even possesion is possible on weaker people.
After two weeks he reached the peak of Soul strengthening, he was on the verge of breaking through.
However he only had a few more days left, it wasn't all peaceful in these two weeks. There have already been small battles between their warships.
As well many cultivators have been called to the borders. The Azure Continent was the closest Continent to the Moon Continent.
Normally a branch Sect would also be called to the frontlines. However this was the branch Sect of the Celestial Sect.
No matter who won the war, nobody would go after a branch Sect of the Celestial Sect. After all they could casually wipe out the Continent with a random outer elder from the main sect.
Even a personal disciple of a outer elder could wipe them out.
That is why they are known as the strongest sect in the world.
Alastor quietly left the manor and headed toward the ocean that separated the two Continents.
He looked at the timer for the quest.
[1 day, 1 hour, 54 minutes, 3 seconds]
He still had a little over a day before the war started.
'I'll find a place to breakthrough.' He sped up distorting space as he flew.
...
He arrived at a small island in the middle of the ocean. The island had a few warships and cultivators from the Moon Continent.
The highest among them was at the Peak of Foundation. He ignored them and made a Cave underwater to breakthrough.
He prepared for a few hours before his soul flew out of his body and floated in front of him.
A small golden mist appeared around it fusing with its red color.
Soon golden linings appeared along his red soul sparkling brightly.
It floated back into him as his golden eyes slowly opened. His mask laid on his legs before he picked it up and put it on concealing his handsome face.
....
A few hours earlier a breath taking scene was happening.
Millions of powerful cultivators stood on large warships as they prepared to face the enemies before them.
The warships although united, had formed different groups. They were in fact Sects and kingdoms, the most prominent was a singular ship.
Although there was only one it was so humoungus that it cast a shadow over every other warship. It was silver and gold with a flag that had a moon on it.
This was the Moon Empire, they had taken over the Moon Continent hundreds of thousands of years ago.
In fact if it wasn't due to previous continental wars they would've been in the top 5. The same was with many continents, like the Azure Continent.
The only Continent and Sect that had never fallen was the Celestial Sect that stood on the Ezren Continent.
After an hour, hundreds of thousands of warships that carried millions slowly lining across from them.
In the lead was a warship slightly larger than the Moon Empires. It was covered in red and golden flames and a flag that adorned a Azure Dragon sat proudly.
"Qi Lintong, surrender and I may spare you life!" A powerful voice sounded from the Azure ship.
"Hmph, I'd rather die then submit to you." A calm elderly voice sounded as a old man in blue robes flew above the battlefield.
"So be it." A middle aged buff man in golden robes met him in the sky.
They floated silently before the old man's aura suddenly burst out. The surroundings froze and shook under his aura as he slashed out with a sword.
The middle aged man wasn't outdone as blue fire burst out and he punched with his gantlets on.
On that many powerful cultivators flew into the air and engaged against eachother as the warships below fought.
....
The war shook the earth as Alastor finally finished his breakthrough. He quickly got up and left the small island, heading towards the war at breath-taking speed.
Looking at the explosions in front of him he frowned. If he didnt go into meditation he would've been able to stop the war before thousands died.
He tapped his mask as it spread a strange aura around him. He flew toward the middle of the battlefield. Everywhere he passed, Time Qi erupted and froze the cultivators around him.
The war quieted as they noticed this strange scene. The two Soul Accumulation cultivators stared at him intently as they stopped battling.
"Who are you?" Qi Lintong's voice sounded as he looked at him with a frown.
"Me...I am..." His brain fried as he thought about who he was.
"I'm the Time Lord." He stated with a grin.
"Time Lord? What right do you have to interfere with our war?"
"I wish to stop this war. We are all of the human race, we shouldn't fight over land and resources. There are demons and beasts, elves and dwarfs, dragons and phoenixs. They don't fight do they? They wait for us to get weaker as we fight before striking. If these wars keep going on, we the human race will fall."
The whole battlefield was dumbfounded as they went over his words. In fact it was spot on, everytime a continental war happened, other races would strike the loser.
"The other races are sealed as of now, the Heavenly Court sealed them long ago." The elderly man shook his head.
"They are not of a concern compared to the greater threat." Alastor was bullshiting so hard trying to stop this war.
"Greater threat?"
"Yes uh...The immortal world."
"What do you mean immortal world." The old man frowned.
"There is a higher realm, God's and immortals rule there. The God's used to rule over our world until a powerful expert separated us. But they won't let us go, they are finding ways to make us come back. If we don't become stronger as one, we will become slaves to the Gods." As of now, he had zero idea what he was saying.
"I did hear about the Immortal world before yes..If there is such a danger I must breakthrough. We will protect our world." His eyes shown with determination.
