Buying and Selling Games

Before the Chinese New Year, Man Bao had already saved some money by selling sugar in the county with Wu Ge. Although it wasn't much, it was all in copper coins.

In addition to the New Year's money, although she couldn't surpass her two little friends in wealth, she could definitely surpass them in weight and quantity.

When she opened it, apart from five beautifully dressed gold ingots, everything else was copper coins.

Not to mention, having seven or eight hundred copper coins piled up was quite impressive.

In comparison, Bai Erlang's money box seemed a bit small, but it contained more silver ingots and gold ingots in addition to limited copper coins.

But Bai Erlang wasn't foolish. When he looked at his money box and then at Man Bao's, he said directly, "I have more money than you."

Then the two of them looked at Bai Shanbao together.

Bai Shanbao looked at them smugly, then opened his own money box.

Although his New Year's money wasn't as much as Bai Erlang's, he had saved up a lot. Before, he used to spend his monthly allowance by himself, and even when he was back in his hometown, he would still spend money. Since moving to Qili Village, he had to wait until he went to the county to spend money.

Starting two years ago, he insisted on collecting his New Year's money by himself. He also earned money from small business ventures with Man Bao, particularly from selling ginger. As a result, his money box was filled with a large pile of silver ingots.

They were all small, but there were quite a few of them, and the ones on top were the New Year's money he had recently received.

Man Bao exclaimed in awe, and even Bai Erlang couldn't help but feel envious.

Bai Shanbao became even more smug, "I also have a lot of toys."

He turned and ran to his room, quickly dragging out a large box to show them.

Man Bao and Bai Erlang crowded around, marveling at the many toys they had never seen before.

Bai Shanbao became even more smug, "These were all sent to me by my uncles." "Do you have any?"

Man Bao shook her head and said, "I have candy."

Bai Erlang was so envious that he reached out to take one, but Bai Shanbao slapped his hand away, saying, "I haven't played with them yet, so I won't let you play with them."

Bai Erlang reached out to grab the items, saying, "I want to play with them."

Man Bao thought he was being unreasonable. Since she was closer to Bai Shanbao than Bai Erlang, she helped him protect the toys while also scolding him, "You're not a good kid; you can't snatch things."

Bai Erlang was both angry and aggrieved; his eyes turned red as he grabbed a toy and pulled it towards himself with even more force.

Being older than Bai Shanbao and Man Bao, he quickly pushed them down and snatched the toy.

If he ran away now, Bai Shanbao definitely wouldn't be able to catch up. However, he was greedy after snatching the toy. He looked at the other toys in the large box and then reached out to grab the ones he found enjoyable.

Bai Shanbao went crazy, stood up from the ground, and pushed him.

Man Bao was also furious and joined in. The two of them pushed Bai Erlang, who fell to the ground, but he held onto the toys tightly and refused to let go.

Bai Shanbao saw his money box lying on the side, so he crawled over and grabbed it, shouting, "You snatched my toys, so I won't give you your money box."

Man Bao also stopped, quickly pulled Bai Shanbao's and her own money boxes behind her, protecting them tightly, and then glared at Bai Erlang.

Bai Erlang, holding the toys, could only manage to show a pair of eyes.

After hesitating for a moment, he said, "Then I don't want the money, I want your toys."

Bai Shanbao naturally refused; although he liked money, he liked toys even more. Upon realizing that Bai Erlang refused to return his toys, Bai Shanbao was on the verge of tears.

Man Bao, however, thought this was a good idea and quickly pulled him aside, whispering, "Don't worry, trading should be voluntary. If he likes something, just say you won't sell it, and then trick him into putting the toys down."

Bai Shanbao thought she was right, so she turned to Bai Erlang and said, "Let's play a buying and selling game. I'll display my toys and treasures, and you can go back and get yours." "Man Bao will also display her treasures, and if you want something, you can purchase it with money."

Bai Erlang's eyes lit up as he thought that this game was very enjoyable.

He tentatively put down two toys and asked, "Are you serious?"

"I'm serious."

Bai Erlang said, "Lying is for dogs."

Bai Shanbao hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded, "Okay, whoever lies is a dog."

Bai Erlang then set down all the toys he was holding. He noticed that Bai Shanbao and Man Bao were sitting on the ground, looking at him without attempting to grab the toys. This made him happy. "You two stay here." "I'll go fetch the toys now."

Man Bao saw him running off and immediately started packing up the toys with Bai Shanbao.

Bai Shanbao hesitated before closing the box, "I don't want to be a dog."

Man Bao scratched her head and asked, "What should we do?"

Bai Shanbao looked at his toy box, hesitated for a moment, then decided, "I'll keep my favorite toys and sell the rest."

Man Bao thought he was a little smarter than her within a hundred miles, and he was quite pleased with this notion.

So, the two little friends worked together to put away Bai Shanbao's favorite toys. When they finished, they noticed that there were only a few toys left in the box.

After all, these toys had only been received before the Chinese New Year, and Bai Shanbao hadn't played with them for long, so he liked almost every one of them.

Man Bao looked around and asked, "Do you have any old toys?"

Bai Shanbao's eyes lit up, and he nodded vigorously, "Yes, wait here."

Man Bao, of course, couldn't wait, so she followed him around, searching in the corners of the study, his room, and the yard, finding all sorts of things.

All these items were placed in the toy box.

He even found some beautiful stones by the river, which he considered to be toys.

Man Bao naturally thought the same.

As they ran around, the two of them laughed and thought this was a very enjoyable game.

So, Man Bao said, "I also want to go home and get my toys."

Bai Shanbao naturally agreed, so they locked the door to the study and ran back to Man Bao's house to collect her toys.

Man Bao also had a considerable number of toys, although they were not as exquisite as Bai Shanbao's. However, there was still a wide variety of items.

Among the items were various bamboo toys and small boxes crafted by Zhou Erlang, grasshoppers made by Zhou Silang, and miscellaneous objects she had collected from outside.

Man Bao found a larger bamboo box and put all the toys she considered inside it. She then carried it with Bai Shanbao to the Bai family's house.

As they reached the gate of the Bai family's house, they encountered Bai Erlang, who was accompanied by two servants carrying two large boxes.

When they met, their eyes lit up.
