Chapter 21

Esther followed the older woman into the foyer of the house and gasped audibly.

It was indeed a palace, an absolutely luxurious one that felt like where dreams were made and in the middle of the luxurious room, a grand staircase stood that led to the other floors of the castle.

"They've been informed, they should be with you in a moment," the older woman told them and continued to stare at them like she was afraid that if she turned away, they would run off with some furniture.

Esther immediately made a mental note to make sure she didn't ever have to see that woman again as soon as she began to live here.

She stepped back and joined her mother and brother who were whispering furiously to each other.

"What are you guys talking about?," she asked.

Joseph nodded towards the side of the wall and Esther immediately followed his eyes, wondering what he was pointing at.

She turned to the side and saw that a large painting was on the wall.
