Well, the looks on their faces gave me the answer that I wanted.
It was clear that all of them had a bad first impression of me, but that wasn't strange with how I had acted.
I could understand why they would have thought this way of me.
But before I could say anything else, the village chiefs quickly came forward and bowed their heads as they said, "Young master, we're sorry. If you're satisfied, please just punish us and spare the rest of our villages."
Seeing this, some of the villagers who were on the side wanted to come forward to help their village chiefs.
However, I didn't let them.
I just came forward and helped the village chiefs up as I said, "Don't worry about it, I understand why you felt that way. I didn't really instill confidence in you with how I had acted, so it wasn't as if you had a reason to believe in me."
