In that instant, Vanessa's smile froze on her face.

She turned to look at Eddison who was standing next to her, but he didn't intend to help her relieve the embarrassing situation.

However, she was already in her fifties and it wasn't a big deal for her.

"Well, he is my grandson, isn't he? I don't need to keep this for anyone else. I'll just get a new one if you two have a second baby," she said.

Subconsciously, Caroline turned around to look at Eddison. It was as if she was checking to see if he inherited his shamelessness from his mother.

After that, Vanessa opened the box and took out the longevity locket before placing it inside the baby's swaddle. 

She gently touched the baby's cheeks and said with a smile, "Baby boy, I hope you grow up well so that your mom won't have to worry about you." 

Her words sounded like she was doing this for Caroline's sake. However, Caroline was not moved at all.

Instead, she found it ridiculous. Was Vanessa trying to please her?
