Charles hesitated for a moment but eventually picked up the parachute from the ground. He used it like a makeshift raincoat, draping it over Zoey.
Zoey wrinkled her nose in distaste, saying, "Charles, I don't want this. It's so ugly..."
"I'm worried you'll catch a cold from the rain."
Charles insisted, trying to persuade her. However, Zoey was adamant and refused to cover herself. In the end, he had no choice but to raise the parachute above her head like an umbrella to shield her from getting wet.
Zoey accepted this without hesitation and enjoyed the protection. Whenever Charles felt his arm getting tired from holding the parachute, she would sweetly smile and say, "Charles, you're the best."
Hearing this, Charles would immediately become energized and claim that he wasn't tired at all.
Samuel glanced at Charles with curiosity. He was used to such scenes but sometimes couldn't help but wonder why Charles was so obedient.
In fact, the man was too obedient.
