Chapter 1038 Nowhere to Go

Running and running, she reached a cliff.

The milky mist kept wafting through the forest, under which not even the depth of the cliff could be discerned.

Lucille slowed down her pace, warning in a deep voice, "You've nowhere to go. I won't make it difficult for you. As long as you answer my questions truthfully, I'll let you go."

Such a simple condition, she thought the mutant would agree after weighing up the pros and cons, but to her surprise, the mutant looked back at her with a slight smile. "I'm sorry, but I can't tell you."

The next second, without hesitation, the mutant jumped off the cliff!

Lucille's face changed. She immediately leaped forward, trying to grab the mutant, but it was too late. The mutant plunged straight toward the bottom of the cliff like a kite cut from its string.

A dull thud resounded through the valley.
