Alex's lawyer took a sip of the wine in front of him, savoring the taste before placing the glass back on the table. Alex followed suit, picking up his glass.

"Consider the case in your favor. Secure the wedding certificate and keep it safe," the lawyer declared, adjusting his necktie.

"How soon, Matthias? I want to hold her in my arms and declare her my woman," Alex demanded, his voice filled with urgency.

His attraction to Lilian was driven more by physical desire than emotional longing. He needed her, and he intended to satisfy that need.

"How soon are you ready to invite her for a discussion?" Matthias inquired.

"Check your schedule and let me know when you're free. As for me, I'm as ready as lighting a cigarette," Alex responded.
