Soon to be married

Allen soon joined his family, jogging alongside them. That morning, the family of three enjoyed quality time together before Allen sat in the garden, intending to discuss the upcoming birthday plans. Moments later, Aiden arrived.

As he stepped into the garden, Aiden spotted his brother and Lilian sitting together, with Aurora perched on Allen's laps. The moment the little girl noticed him, she jumped off her father's thighs and ran toward him, shouting excitedly, "Uncle Aiden! Uncle Aiden!"

Aiden's gloomy mood melted instantly. He crouched down to their height, embracing Aurora tightly. He had missed her deeply. Holding her close, he wondered why Allen had been so strict about keeping him away.

Lilian observed Aiden's interaction with her daughter and saw the affection radiating from him. She glanced briefly at Allen, who was now completely engrossed in his phone— contrasting the animated conversation they'd been having minutes earlier.
