REPORT FROM MAXWELL

CEDRIC'S POV

I stood in the courtyard, my gaze shifting between Lord Niko, Silas, and Sith as we talked, the lingering question heavy in the air: why had the blood creatures never returned to Draego?

"The last attack was vicious," Silas said, his arms crossed as he leaned against a stone pillar. "But then... nothing. It's like they just vanished."

Lord Niko nodded, his expression troubled. "We've never been able to fully understand their patterns. They were relentless, almost mindless in their assaults. Then, suddenly, they just stopped. No sign of them since."

Talon, always the more calculating of us, tapped his chin thoughtfully. "There's something unnatural about their absence. It's too deliberate. They could have overwhelmed us if they wanted, and yet they retreated."
