When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. “Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces.

“Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. 

Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.”

“Well, they can’t just -”

“Hey, hey listen.”

He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” 

A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.”

“How so?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

"What... what are you trying to say?" Alexandra asked as a small frown appeared between her brows as she tried to comprehend the words that left Caleb's mouth. "He cheated on me? With my sister?" She questioned, echoing his words as a look of disbelief crossed her face. She didn't even remember having a sister. What could he possibly be talking about?

There was an angry expression plastered across Ethan's face as he glared at Caleb who was standing by the door. His heart was racing inside his chest for fear of being exposed as he prayed hard that Alexandra had truly forgotten about everything. "What the hell are you trying to say?! Get out now!" Ethan's voice cut through the tension that was lingering in the air.
