When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. "Alexandra…" Her name rolled off his tongue effortlessly as though it had always belonged there, the deep baritone of his voice causing her heart to skip a beat.

Silence enveloped them in an instant as the air between them crackled with unspoken tension. The flood of memories engulfed them at that moment. How long had it been since they had last seen one another?

Effortlessly, he reached for her back and under her knees, carrying her bridal-style before heading back to the car. 

"Is there anything I can help with? As thanks for… not running me over and providing me shelter?"

"Actually, there is," Caleb said. 

Alexandra turned, raising an eyebrow. She hadn't expected him to so shamelessly take her up on her offer when they both knew it was just to be polite.

"This probably ain't the best time but… Do you want to get married?"

<p>Alexandra watched with wide eyes as beads of water droplets trickled down from Caleb's now slightly damp hair to his surprised face. The shock on his face was quickly replaced with anger that was simmering beneath the surface of his skin as he glared at the person who was just right standing behind her.</p>

<p>It wasn't a coincidence that he happened to meet her at this very restaurant. In fact, unfortunately for Caleb and Alexandra, although they did manage to successfully evade the reporters from his apartment, the waiter who took their order recognised them despite the wig and makeup. Just like how anyone else would, the waiter working at minimum wage per hour immediately tipped them off and exposed their location just to earn some quick bucks. After all, it's only human nature. </p>
