Killing Hippopotamus Monster

Vlad saw all the water surrounding the town's streets and the demons flooding inside. A sharp light appeared in his eyes as he pushed the woman off his shoulders before glancing at the small yellow cat and pointing at the Hippopotamus Monster.

"Discharge your most powerful spell toward it, now!"

Time was of the essence, as they needed to act before the currents dispersed and the water level lowered. Luckily, Jormungandr did not hesitate before approaching the rooftop's edge and opening its mouth.

"Lightning Judgment Chain!"

Jormungandr chose his most powerful spell, which had powerful conductivity properties. In the next second, a thick and powerful arc of white lightning emerged from its tiny mouth and struck the Hippopotamus Monster.

Immediately, the Hippopotamus Monster began to tremble as the power of the white lightning inflicted massive damage to its body, but things were not over there. Half of the Monster's enormous body was covered in water, and the white lightning spread into it, allowing its electric charge to affect all the demons submerged beneath it!

A wide smile appeared in Vlad's eyes as he saw torrents of Origin Force rise from the water and charge into Jormungandr's body. The spell killed countless demons inside the water, and his smile widened even more as around ten percent of the bright golden energy surged into his body. As the one giving the plan and taking advantage of the environment, he was also rewarded by the Plane Will.

Vlad sent all the Origin Force into his body, allowing him to regain some of his strength and stamina before his eyes turned to the Hippopotamus Monster. It had drained nearly all its energy in that attack, and the white lightning arc had done a lot of damage, but it was still alive.

A sharp light full of determination appeared in Vlad's eyes as he took a massive white metallic club from his space ring and threw it to the colossal man.

"Do you have the courage?"

The colossal man caught the club, and his eyes widened as he heard those words and saw the Hippopotamus Monster. He immediately understood Vlad's goal. A crazy smile appeared on the man's face as he tightened the grip on the club and made his Force burst.

"Hahaha, why not!?"

The young magnetic woman, who had just overcome the shock from that white lightning that used the water as a conductor to kill who knew how many demons, saw how the two men reached one end of the rooftop before running at full speed forward.

"What are you doing!?"

Neither Vlad nor the colossal man seemed to hear the woman's words as they jumped from the five-story building, diving toward no one else but the Hippopotamus Monster!

The Hippopotamus Monster's eyes widened as it saw the two small figures diving toward it, but it was too wounded to respond or even move.

The colossal man fell toward the back of the Hippopotamus Monster, and using all the momentum of his fall, he struck with the club with all his strength.

"CRACK!"

The sound of bones cracking echoed across the small town, and the colossal man smiled before the inertia sent him crashing into a nearby house.

Vlad had calculated better and managed to fall onto the top of the Hippopotamus Monster's head. Using the power of his fall, he buried his sword into the Monster's neck, making the power of his Force explode, destroying all the flesh around the blade.

"¡AHHHHHHH!"

The Hippopotamus Monster screamed in agony louder than ever before. The damage to its spine and neck was more than it could endure, and its massive body fell to the ground.

"¡BOOM!"

Vlad smiled as he saw the Hippopotamus Monster falling and felt how the life of this one began to fade. That moment of relaxation almost made him fall from the Monster, but he clenched his teeth and kept a tight grip on the sword to remain on the Monster's head.

Even after falling to the ground, the Hippopotamus Monster was so massive that it remained above the water level.

Vlad fell on top of the Hippopotamus Monster, and his eyes turned to the nearby house. He saw a young man rising from the debris. He was around twenty years of age, and there were bruises all over his body, but other than that, he was fine.

'That colossal form must have been his Gift.'

It was an impressive ability, giving the man impressive defensive and offensive power, but Vlad did not have the strength to care about it now as he was honestly exhausted.

The water level was diminishing quickly due to the ample space and sewer system. Vlad could see how some of the surviving demons were slowly moving toward the Hippopotamus Monster.

Vlad and the colossal man were too exhausted and unable to fight the demons in their current condition, but luckily, they were not alone, and the two Mages finally made it down the building.

Spinning metal rods flashed toward the demons in the streets, killing them one by one. The demons were not numerous and were all dispersed and wounded, making it easy for the women to continue the killing.

Vlad turned to the woman who had Jormungandr on her shoulder, truly focusing on her for the first time, and his eyes widened for a moment. He hadn't noticed her before since the stress of battle clouded everything unrelated to killing and survival.

The woman was stunningly beautiful, with long black hair, a petite yet well-developed body, and eyes full of fierceness that marked her as a true fighter.

A strange smile appeared on Vlad's face as he remembered when he threw her onto his shoulders. He hadn't been careful then and vividly recalled how he had grabbed the woman's lower back.

'It was soft yet firm.'

"¡Hahahahaha!"

Vlad only laughed as he rested atop the Hippopotamus Monster, allowing his body to recover while Jormungandr and the woman took care of the remaining demons.
