Message for the Other Ninja

When I woke up, I found myself sandwiched between my two sons and my husband watching me. "How mad are you at me right now?" I asked him quietly.

Lloyd looked at me evenly. "Did you purposely go looking for him?"

I shook my head. "No. I went to go and calm down. He just showed up. But I wasn't as afraid of him as I thought I was going to be."

He narrowed his eyes. "Nightmare said you were still scared."

I blinked. "Uh, how could he tell you that? He's only able to talk to me in my head."

Lloyd made a dismissive motion. "He and I figured something out. Don't change the subject."

"I was still scared," I admitted. "But I wasn't terrified. Besides, he doesn't know how to control his element like Kai does. I kind of want to see a fight between them."

"Adder also uses snakes," Lloyd pointed out.

"Yeah, he has the ability to control them." I thought for a minute.

"Y/n, can you use your powers to calm him down?" Lloyd asked.

"No. He's immune to it somehow."

Lloyd made a face. "Well, that just made this a little harder."

I winced. "Sorry."

Lloyd sighed. "Y/n, I don't want you facing him by yourself again. Okay?"

I nodded. "I won't but I repeat, I wasn't out looking for him. He just showed up."

Lloyd looked at the two boys blocking his path to me. "I would hug you but...I can't get to you."

I laughed. "I can see that." I nudged Jon and Ken gently. "Boys, it's time to wake up."

Jon just rolled over while Ken mumbled, "Five more minutes."

Lloyd made a show of looking at his watch. "Guess we aren't training today."

"No!" The boys yelled jumping out of bed and running out of the room.

I raised an eyebrow at my husband. "That was a little mean."

He shrugged. "It got them up, didn't it?"

I stood up and stretched. "Yes, but now they're both going to be waiting for you in the training room."

He got up and hugged me tightly. "I know. But they can wait for a few minutes."

I lifted my head and smiled at him. "True." We kissed for a few minutes. I pulled back. "Should I send Wings to get the other Ninja?" I asked.

Lloyd thought about it. "Would be helpful to have another set of eyes."

I stepped out of his arms. "Okay. I'll go ask." I glanced at the time. "He should be up by now."

Our bedroom door opened. "Come on, Dad," Jon said grabbing Lloyd's hand and tugging him to the door. "We have to train."

I giggled. "Yeah, Lloyd. You have to train."

Lloyd made a face. "Don't you have a job to be doing?"

I scowled. "It's not a job. It's asking politely." I left the room and found Wings perched on his usual spot. "Hey, Wings."

He looked down at me. "Who do you need me to deliver a message to?"

I gave him an innocent look. "What makes you think I need you to do that?"

"That's the only reason you come and talk to me."

I made a face. "I need you to deliver a message to the other Ninja."

"About?"

"Tell them an ex-boyfriend of mine showed up and we need their help because he's ten times deadlier the Liam or Loro."

"Want me to tell that to Gaara too?"

I shook my head. "Just them for now."

"Fine." He disappeared.

I leaned against the wall and sighed. The monastery is about to get crowded.
