ARIA'S POINT OF VIEW

"Demion, what's happening to you?" I asked, my voice steady despite the fear coursing through my veins. I needed to understand what was going on, and I needed to protect myself from whatever darkness had enveloped him.

For a moment, he seemed to struggle, as if trying to regain control of himself. The red glow in his eyes flickered, and I saw a glimpse of the man I loved beneath the darkness.

"I don't know," he said, his voice strained. "Something's wrong, Aria. I can feel it, but I can't... I can't control it."

His words sent a chill down my spine, and I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Whatever was happening to him was beyond his control, and that thought terrified me.
