Can a game be a dream come true? Jorah has found a world where he can be Megan Proxy, exploring his own gender identity even while exploring a cyberpunk world that is more than it seems. Something in the world isn't working quite right, but is that a product of the game, or of the fact that the game is using his brain as a mainframe for its processing? Will he be able to enjoy living as a woman, or will he be too busy trying to avoid getting killed for the things that he finds while he takes on the role of Megan? Will the secrets that she uncovers be enough to keep her alive, or will he have to process the loss of his female self so soon after finding a way to finally indulge her?

She didn't have to think about it for all that long. She was more distracted by something that she noticed about the explanations. The other Megan had described each of the subclasses as if talking about them as something else, but had talked about the Sniper class as if she was already a member. As if that was the option she was expecting Megan to take.


And it made sense to take that one. She already had the skills of the Hacker, and had already demonstrated some of the skills that a Thief would have. She didn't want to get up close and personal with the killing. If she was going to kill people, and it made sense that she was going to have to, she'd rather do it from a distance, more impersonally. Sniper just made sense.


What didn't make sense was the system pushing her in that direction. Or taunting her. Was Other Megan trying to get her to take the obvious choice or was it trying to get her to take another one? There was clearly an ulterior motive. But what was it?
