Not all smiles and laughs flashed in our directions are real. Some carry snake fangs behing, patiently waiting for a time to bite and poison you to your very end.

Six Years Later

Her heart pumping in her ears. The leafs and grasses brushing against her body. Her hair in a complete mess and her dress was not better. She kept running through the woods not knowing where exactly she was running to.

"Amber!"

She heard him screaming not so far away. She looked behind and saw flashlights coming closer and closer. She lost focus and tripped on something and fell, loosing consciousness.

"Boss can we start now?"

"Wake her up."

The man took a bucket of cold water from the freezer at the other side of the room and poured it on the girl on the bed who shivered and jolted awake. She looked confused and scarred and tried to master her surrounding.

"Leave us."

The man walked away frowning and closed the door with a BANG behind him.

"Hey Sis."

Hearing the voice, the girl's scared eyes immediately gained hope. She quickly turned to the sound and saw her sister and started crying.

"Mellie help me. He's coming. He kidnapped me again I don't want to go back there please."

"Shhh shhh don't cry. I'll make sure you don't go back there. Big sis will make all her worries float away."

Melanie said with a sweet smile that immediately turned sinester as she pulled the girl by her hair.

"Ah! Big sis what are you doing?"

"Shut up! Who's your sister? Me? Over my dead body will I ever accept you. For nineteen years I had to put up with your rubbish and stupidity.

Guess what? No more"

"Big sis what's gotten into you?"

"Me? Nothing. This is how I've always been but you're just too dumb to notice. But don't worry, this will be the last time I will cause you pain Amber."

"La_last?"

Amber trembled and asked having a strong sense of foreboding. Melanie allowed her hair and sat beside her.

"Yes last. Since you'll die anyway, I guess I'll tell you to put your soul at ease.

Remember your falling down the stairs that led to your left arm tissues getting damaged? I pushed you. Then I introduced you to Gabriel to make you fall in love with him and rob you of your inheritance. Although it wasn't part of the plan but you helped us bring the D'Almundo company down and the only way left for them is for Tristan to marry my big sister.

I gave you an abortion pill causing yours and Tristan's baby to die. Ooh and we also..."

With every word Melanie said, Amber's body kept trembling with anger and disbelief flashing in her eyes many times.

It can't be true.

How come the people she loved the most and considered family were the ones who hurt her the most? They were the root of all her problems.

But as Melanie kept talking, she also started believing because they really sounded well planned and matches what has been happening. But one immediately caught her attention.

"What did you say?"

Amber asked with bloody red eyes.

"I said you were right nineteen years ago. We are the reason your Mum left and why she never returned and I don't regret or give a sh_"

Amber heavily knocked Melanie's head with hers and wasted no time and bit on her exposed boobs.

Melanie screamed in pain and tried to pull Amber away from her but was surprised by how strong she is. She kept screaming and struggling with large amounts of tears streaming down her face.

The door was pushed open and an old lady and another one, younger, rushed into the room.

"Melanie! You witch let go of my daughter. I said let go!"

Amber felt a new force appear in her but it immediately disappeared. Not staying for long. Distracted, the other woman succeeded in pulling her away from Melanie but she didn't leave empty-handed.

A piece of meat was in her mouth. Melanie kept taking heavy breaths as she held her mother's hand. She looked at the hole on her chest that looked like an animal bite and collapsed from shock.

Amber felt satisfied but not fully. She spat the flesh on the ground and glared at them.

"How dare you?!"

The woman pounced on her hitting and pulling her hair continuously. Amber didn't make any sounds. She just kept glaring at the woman until the other woman pulled her away.

"Let go of me Rebecca! Let me go!"

"Mum calm down. Just take Melanie to the hospital first."

Margaret hit Amber one more time and took Melanie away. Soon five men entered the room. Rebecca looked at Amber and smirked before walking away.

Amber looked at the men that kept looking at her with lustful expressions.

Again?

Was this really her life? Was this how it was all going to turn out?
