Next day at the dining room at Tristan's place.
The atmosphere was very intense with killing intent almost written over their heads. Especially Gamal who glared at Amber while eating. The issue of Amber 'hitting' Mercy still hasn't been solved yet so Gamal still insists that Amber did it.
"Brother eat up."
Mercy pulled Gamal's clothes and pushed his plate closer to him. Gamal looked at her and smiled.
"You're too good. You were offended and only care about others. Big bro won't let it slide."
Gamal thought and finally ate his food. When they were done, Tristan took them to his study and sat at his table.
"Big bro what's wrong? And why'd you invite her too?"
Gamal asked and glared at Amber.
"Mercy, why haven't you told him?"
Tristan asked Mercy who looked at Amber and back at Tristan.
"With her here?"
Mercy asked Tristan who gave her a look that didn't opt for any arguments. Mercy rolled her eyes and pulled Gamal to sit beside her.
"Uhm Gammy, Amber didn't hurt me."
"What are you talking about? She clearly hit you. Who else was there? Is she threatening you? You don't have to cover up for her. Don't worry I'm right here for you. Just tell the truth. Okay?"
"If you let me finish you'll find out."
Though reluctant, Gamal didn't interrupt again.
"The thing is that I'm sick. Big bro is still trying to find what it is and a cure. That was one of the attacks I suffer from. Amber didn't do anything."
Gamal looked confused and took some time to actually accept that Amber was innocent. He looked at her and cleared his throat in embarrassment.
"It's not like you won't ever hurt her. Anyways let bygones be bygones."
Amber looked at Gamal with a strong urge to punch him.
When he came he didn't think of bygones be bygones but now that it concerned him let bygones be bygones?!
"Shameless."
Amber muttered and turned her head away.
"You! Who are you calling shameless?!"
"The dog barking."
"Did you just call me a dog?! You_"
"Enough."
Tristan interveined avoiding an argument or fight between both of them.
"Big bro_"
"Schools resume next week. Where do you want to go?"
Tristan asked them removing several files from the drawer of different school applications and gave them.
"I like my school. I won't change."
Mercy said giving Tristan back the files.
"I'll transfer to A Arts."
Gamal removed just one and gave Tristan the others and smiled at Mercy.
"I'll stay too."
Amber gave Tristan her files too.
"You? It's a good thing I'm transferring to A Arts. You might just bully Mercy to death this time."
Gamal said and as if to start fulfilling his promise, pulled Mercy and placed her head on his chest. Mercy pouted looking aggrieved but didn't refuse or push him away.
"As usual."
Amber thought looking at them and then at the silent Tristan.
"You'll stop going if you cause any troubles."
Amber unconsciously broke out in cold sweat knowing what Tristan meant.
"I promise I won't."
Amber managed to smile and divert her thoughts.
...
A Arts Junior High and Highschool.
Students kept moving into the giant blue gates of A Arts each coming out of a car. It had to be said that A Arts was a school for the rich and talented. Not just anyone could make it to the school.
You either had power, money, or the smarts to be qualified for the school.
But there's always someone greater than someone.
Everyone passing by stopped to look at the black Bugatti Veyron that pulled off Infront of the school.
The backseats' doors opened and a boy and a girl came out followed by another girl.
The boy wore purple street wear baggy clothes with his hair tied up in a ponytail. He held a book in one hand and a black Matein laptop bag on his left shoulder. Some girls screamed when he looked at them and started taking pictures.
He smiled at them held the girl beside him by her hand.
The girl wore a blue baggy cargo pants with a white racer tank top and a black baseball cap. She seemed to have seen a friend ahead and ran in leaving the boy and the other girl behind.
"Mercy careful."
Gamal ran behind Mercy making sure she didn't hurt herself. Amber pursed her lips looking at them.
She wore a black skirt that was slightly above her knee with a white crop top and black jacket. She silently went to her class.
"Who's the new girl?"
"I don't know. But she came with Gamal and Mercy. So she must be special."
"Can't you all see? That's Amber."
"Amber?! That ugly duckling?!"
"How? Did she get plastic surgery?"
"Who knows? Turned beautiful overnight? She must have done something."
Amber ignored the whispers around her as she rested her head on her desk trying to rest her brain.
She's been trying to figure out what's wrong with Mercy.
She was different.
Too different from how she remembered in her past life.
And where did the sickness suddenly come from?!
Amber furrowed her brows and relaxed pushing the thoughts aside for later.
"O my goodness Amber you're okay. What did he do to? Did he hurt you?"
Amber frowned as her rest was interrupted by a persistent person who wouldn't let her be.
Of course she knew who the person was.
"Hey big sis."
Amber finally lifted her head and smiles at Melanie. Melanie looked confused for a while but quickly hid it.
"Is this really her? The attitude's still the same though."
Melanie had heard that Amber was back and looked different from usual so she came to confirm it thinking it was all a joke. How did she become so beautiful all of a sudden?
Melanie smiles and inspected Amber with a worried expression.
"How are you? Did that devil hurt you?"
Amber didn't answer right away. Deliberately making it look like she was afraid to tell the truth. Melanie secretly breathed a sigh of relief seeing how Amber still looked scarred. She continued complaining and insulting Tristan. Yes he's the devil she's talking about. Melanie didn't even notice the two people behind her who entered the class at some point.
Gamal clenched his fists prepared to make Melanie stop but Mercy pulled him back.
"Let me."
She told him and stood behind Melanie. She silently put a seat behind her and got on it. Melanie was also slightly taller than her. She was almost as tall as Gamal and wore hills making her taller than Mercy by far.
A girl was about to warn the unaware Melanie but decided to keep quiet. Who wants to offend this little spoiled devil?
Mercy took a sip of her milk and poured the rest on Melanie's head.
Melanie screamed, prepared to deal with the person that had the guts to humiliate the second young miss Swares. She turned around but had to look up to see the person and instead received more milk.
