Classmate

Haruki cried for a while before he heard an ominous noise strangely echoing from his stomach "I guess I should get some food." Collecting himself while he stood up, deciding if he should just have curry for dinner tonight. "Maybe on the way there I can also get a picture frame to fix that photo," he thought. "Yeah, that's a good idea." Feeling a little better, he headed to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Although a minor dilemma had hit him, he lacked any sanitary products like toothpaste and sponges but had some soap left over. "I guess I also need to include more stuff on my list," he sighed, retrieving a piece of paper and a pen to create a list out of "Let's see, so far I need a toothbrush, tooth paste, sponge, a wooden frame, and curry." He recalled, "Anything else?" He questioned, looking around in case he missed anything vital. "I guess that's all, he reported as he began to put on his shoes and coat, preparing to go out. "I really hate going outside more than anything," he muttered.

As he stepped outdoors, he was blinded by the hot sun, which glared at him mercilessly, pushing him to adapt to his new surroundings. He began to walk, longing for this experience to end, heading to the nearest convenience store he could find to avoid any little hassles. "I think this is the one," he replied, glancing at a modest but busy convenience shop with the name "Honey Stores." Confounded by the strange and unoriginal name, Haruki began to search on his phone, determining that this was really the correct store, discovering that it really was. When he entered the facility, he was greeted with a plethora of delectable aromas that were too good not to be enticed by. It smelled so good that Haruki's anxiety almost melted away with a single whiff of it. But despite all that, he still ventured forward, wanting to go home more than anything. He glanced at the first thing on the list. Soap.

He manoeuvred himself to the sanitary section soon, spotting the product, but before he could take the object, he was shocked with utter disbelief at how high the price was. "I didn't imagine it to be this expensive." He retorted"Do I even have enough money to pay for all this?" he wondered while looking at his deserted wallet. "Maybe I should just prioritise food; without it, you can't survive after all."

Abandoning the sanitary section, he left for the food section, looking for all the ingredients that were required. "Let's see," he remarked as he glided his finger across the row in hopes of finding some curry. "Ah, there it-." Before finishing his sentence, he quickly noticed that he was touching someone's finger. Surprised, he turned around, curious yet scared to see who he had encountered. "Ah, sorry, I didn't see you there," the woman said with an embarrassed tone. "No, it's-." Haruki's eyes widened with utter disbelief and fear. "It can't be, he thought. "It can't," he concluded quickly, hurriedly walking away. "Wait," the woman stated. grasping his hand. "Excuse me if I'm wrong, but are you by chance, Haruki?!"
