Was She on Purpose

Fans nowadays were crazy.

Even the security guards at the door couldn't stop these girls' excited hearts.

Not satisfied at standing at the entrance, they even followed to the testing site.

Jerome sighed helplessly, half-bowing and looking into the girl's eyes politely, he said, "This is not a place for young ladies. It's dangerous here. If you want an autograph or a photo, I can fulfill your request after I'm done here."

Upon hearing this, the girl raised an eyebrow in a bewildering manner, as if saying, "Where did this fool come from."

Worried about being infected by his foolishness and lowered her IQ, the girl didn't respond and cleanly jumped into the testing area, extending her right hand toward her colleagues in the control room, gesturing, "Test group, get ready. Collision test is about to begin!"

Celia approached Jerome, introducing in a low voice, "Mr Williams, this is Vivian Sharp, the chief engineer of the C-NCAP evaluation team."

Jerome was momentarily stunned but then nodded understandingly.

Indeed, even this highly intellectual woman couldn't resist his charm.

Taking advantage of his position to be a fan, well, after the test, he would have to find a way to tactfully remind this girl not to ruin her future.

With Vivian's command, the roar echoed inside the factory.

The initially quiet silver-gray car gradually started under the traction of the powertrain.

Unprepared for the tremendous noise, Jerome unconsciously took a step back.

Standing in front of him, Vivian happened to turn around after noticed this. She furrowed her brows and reminded him without any expression, "Get ready for the collision. If you're afraid, you can leave now."

It would be lying to say that he was not afraid at all.

After all, incidents where cars deviate from the collision trajectory and injure people were not uncommon, and no one could guarantee 100% safety here.

However, Jerome glanced at the employees of the company's publicity department and then at the camera aimed at him.

Silently lifting his chest, he told himself that he couldn't back down.

Jerome reassured himself that staying was not just about worrying that the publicity team wouldn't capture his photos; it was purely for the rise of the automotive industry!

With this in mind, Jerome couldn't help but feel moved by his own determination.

Facing the fan who kindly reminded him of the danger, he expressed gratitude and reassurance, "Don't worry about me; I'll be fine."

While he said this, his eyes, fixed on Vivian, seemed to convey a signal like "Look how brave I am, praise me quickly".

This posture was similar to Vivian's Husky, resisting the temptation to eat someone else's food, wagging its tail, and seeking praise.

Looking at the somewhat foolish Jerome, Vivian couldn't help but raise a big question mark in her mind.

She became more certain that the person's brain might not be that clear.

With such a low IQ, living must be quite difficult.

Vivian felt a touch of pity and pointed behind her, saying, "Stand here, it's safe."

She cared about me again.

Although her expression was frosty, consider this tone, this attitude; she was probably trying to attract his attention in this way!

Well, women!

Even if she was satisfied for a moment, it didn't matter.

Jerome smiled while obediently walking behind Vivian.

Vivian quickly returned to her professional state.

"One, two, three!"

With a command, a loud bang echoed, and the new sedan, under the powertrain's traction, accelerated and collided with the wall obstacle.

The car rebounded several meters, and the originally smooth body crumpled as if being kneaded.

The first test project concluded.

The tester approached, opened the car door, and determined the safety level based on the internal damage.

Jerome saw the prominently displayed Grade A and felt even prouder.

Closing the record book, Vivian walked over gracefully.

"Mr Williams, the first indicator has no significant issues. Please move to the next evaluation site."

"Does it need to continue?"

Jerome stood with his hands behind his back.

"I've always said these safety tests are meaningless. The only advantage of the cars my company produces is their sturdiness."

Then, he pointed at the undamaged glass and tapped it with his finger.

"Bulletproof, no matter how it collides, it won't break."

According to Jerome, safety tests were just a formality.

This model had undergone numerous experiments before, all with no issues.

Today's first test also proved that his car was truly indestructible.

"Sturdy? Won't break?"

At these words, Vivian stopped in her tracks, turned around, and looked deeply at the confident Jerome.

Just as he was guessing the meaning behind her gaze, Vivian swiftly pulled a hammer, about the size of a palm, from the pocket of her work pants.

With a deft turn of her wrist, she smiled at Jerome and, finding the right position, raised her hand, smashing it down. The car's window instantly shattered.

Jerome, caught off guard, muttered, "..."

"Any problems with the testing now?" Vivian asked.

Jerome, looking at the shattered glass on the ground, was momentarily speechless.

"If there's no problem, please proceed."

With that, Vivian threw away the hammer, paying no attention to whether Jerome followed or not, and walked away.

Jerome left behind, wore a solemn expression.

His assistant, fearing the explosion of the CEO, remained silent, not daring to breathe.

After a while, Jerome finally spoke, sounding puzzled, "Did she do it on purpose?"

The assistant dared not answer.

"Who would carry a hammer with them? She must have come prepared."

Jerome affirmed to himself, then sighed, "All for me."

Trying to attract his attention, even the girls who seemed perfectly fine would do things like this.

Ah, this damn charm!
