After watching Nathan Ford leave, Ava Sterling quickly shifted her feet, numbing from having been in the same position too long.

She's always been pragmatic and could see the bigger picture. The situation was beyond her control, and no amount of anger vented at Nathan would change the outcome. She decided it was better to let go and save herself the trouble.

The next day, Nathan wasted no time at the office and had Chris Parker investigate the recent competition, to see if there indeed had been a mistake that led to Ava's design being swapped.

Deep down, he believed in Ava, but Iris's confident claims made it difficult to discern the truth without unfairly blaming anyone.
