Days passed peacefully after Nathan had bought Ava a large doll, which she held every night as she slept. Nathan found the situation amusing yet baffling.

On this particular morning, as Nathan got out of bed, Ava suddenly opened her eyes. After nearly a week of preparation and reconnaissance, she was ready to make her escape today, and at the moment, there were no guards outside.

Quietly, Ava picked up the doll Nathan had tossed aside the night before, placed it back on the bed, and covered it meticulously with a blanket. Then, she cautiously opened the window and jumped out.

Her heart raced as she tiptoed along the wall to a corner. Although unguarded, she moved with extreme caution. If caught, Nathan's supervision would only intensify, making any future escape attempts far more difficult.
