Opportunity

Seeing the hopeful look in Ava's eyes, Nathan couldn't bear to disappoint her. He smiled and nodded. "It feels good, but let's wait for the news."

Ava, who had been on edge for two hours thinking Nathan might have sneaked off again, finally relaxed upon hearing his words.

Pushing Nathan to sit down, Ava's face lit up with a smile. "You've worked hard today. I'll make you a delicious lunch!"

Nathan couldn't stand to see Ava work so hard and instinctively refused. "Why don't we go out instead..."

As soon as he said this, he realized he was now bankrupt. Although he still had some money, if he continued not finding work like today, they would soon run out of funds.

Both were momentarily stunned. Ava glared at Nathan and snapped, "Don't forget, I'm pregnant now. No matter how fancy the food outside is, there are always hygiene issues. I don't care, even if my cooking is terrible, you have to finish it all!"
