Doubt

"Ryan has a fever, so I brought him to the hospital," Chris said hesitantly. It wasn't a big deal, and he thought it should be fine to tell Ava.

Ava's expression changed upon hearing this. Ryan had a fever? How did that happen? Whether it was just her mind playing tricks, Ava felt that Ryan looked thinner.

"What exactly happened? Ryan should be at the Sterling's, so why is he with you?" she questioned.

Chris looked innocent in the face of Ava's barrage of questions. "All I know is that Ryan is at the Ford's now. I don't know the rest."

Ava was furious. How could Ethan not tell her about something so important? Then she remembered that Daniel Martinez had restricted her contact with the outside world these days. Perhaps Ethan had no choice.
