"It was Iris. Other than knowing his name, I honestly know nothing else."

 

Upon hearing the name, Nathan released Amelia's chin, turned around, and took a deep breath, trying to quell the immense rage surging within him. Her again!

 

"Have you not been in contact with her for a long time?" Nathan asked, his tone devoid of any emotion.

 

Amelia was taken aback. It was true; she had lost contact the day after she arrived at the Sterling house. But how did Nathan know?

 

Despite the confusion swirling in her mind, Amelia feigned deep remorse. She had learned to always leave herself an escape route, ensuring she remained valuable enough to be kept alive.
