Chapter Twenty Eight.

I groaned awake, resisting the urge to stretch knowing that the pinch in my side would only worsen. It was tolerable for now but any slight movement would no doubt open up the gash that I knew was embedded in my side.

The memories of the battle were still freshly imprinted in my mind. Every single detail replayed over and over again in my mind like a CD that was stuck of repeat. The last thing I remember I was Logan reassuring me my dad was dead and that I was finally safe.
