Chapter 2 Maggie's Future Husband

Maggie dragged the suitcase and walked forward.

The sun was scorching hot above her head, and waves of heat were set off. Her skin was so tender that it was slightly itchy from the sun and turned a little red.

She wore earphones on her ears.

And she was listening to the news a person was telling her on the other end of the phone.

"Maggie, I have checked everything out. The information we found before is indeed false."

Maggie's eyelids drooped slightly, and she was quietly listening to the words coming from the other end of the phone.

"But your parents indeed passed away. We have found nothing about your three older brothers. Guess." The person on the other end of the phone deliberately kept Maggie guessing. "What are their real identities? If you guess right, I'll give you the villa in South Mountain. But if you guess wrong, you'll give me the pink diamond you got from that auction."

Maggie lowered her eyes and typed calmly. [I'll give you the pink diamond. Speak human.]

The person on the other end of the phone smiled and said, "Hey! Thank you, Maggie. I have sent the detailed information to you. Check it out on your phone."

Maggie lowered her eyes, turned on the phone, and watched the file.

While she was looking it through, the person on the other end of the phone was chirping and having the real-time report.

"The person who spread the fake news is quite something. The person turned the scientific research professors of Austin University into poor teachers. And your three brothers. One is the boss of a venture capital company. One is the best actor in the domestic entertainment circle. And the last one is a top hacker. How could this be described to be idle?"

"Tut-tut, Maggie, what a family you are."

"The one who wants you to be back is your grandfather, Mr. Adams from the Adams family, the top celebrity in Austin."

"However, something is interesting, Maggie. Your parents seemed to have severed ties with the Adams family the year you were missing. Mr. Adams has never allowed anyone to mention them these years, but he has never given up looking for you..."

Even after Maggie finished looking through the file, there was no disturbance in her eyes. She just calmly replied, [Okay.]

"Oh my, Maggie, you are too calm. If someone else has such an awesome family background, the person will be crazy because of joy."

Maggie looked cold and didn't reply to him. She knew early that she was a child of the Adams family.

Actually, it was not that they found her, but that she found them.

"But it's understandable," the man continued. "Maggie, you are so powerful yourself. It will make no change no matter whether you go back to the Adams family or not."

Maggie's eyes were indifferent, and her gaze fell across the road.

A black Bentley was parked quietly on the side of the road.

Maggie lowered her eyes to confirm the license plate number. After that, she knew it was the car sent by the Adams family to pick her up. She raised her eyes and walked over there.

"Oh, Maggie." The voice on the other end of the phone suddenly raised. "Here is one more thing. Mr. Adams seems to have gotten you a fiancé named Louis Noble."

A fiancé?

Maggie walked up to the Bentley, and her face was reflected on the glass window.

Her dense eyelashes flickered. Her pale and delicate face was expressionless, making her look calm and indifferent.

Her eyelids drooped slightly, and she replied, [Well, I see. I'll contact you next time.]

After the phone was cut off, Maggie raised her hand and knocked on the car window.

"Knock, knock."

There was no response.

Maggie looked indifferent. When she raised her hand to continue knocking, someone slowly rolled down the black glass window.

A gust of cold air poured out from inside, and a pair of eyes were revealed first, with sharp brows and slightly raised eye tails.

The car window was down slowly, finally revealing the whole face.

It was a man, a very good-looking man.

He was about in his early twenties. He exuded a cold and indifferent temperament, with a bit of chill.

His face was stern, with sharp outlines.

A red mole was under the corner of his left eye.

Maggie blinked. She liked good-looking men.

And this man was the best-looking man she had ever seen.

The other party's expression was flat. His eyes fell on her face. He looked at her for two seconds and then spoke slowly.

"Maggie Olson?"

Maggie nodded. Her eyes were calm, and she stared straight at him with her clear eyes.

The man pursed his lips slightly and nodded. "Get in the car."

Maggie opened the rear door and sat next to the man.

The air-conditioning in the car was working, and a faint smell of wood was in the car.

The man was leaning against the back of the chair. He wore a red bracelet on his bony wrist.

Maggie had been staring at him all the time since getting in the car.

"What?"

Sensing her gaze, Louis raised his eyelids and asked coldly.

Maggie took out her mobile phone and typed.

[Who are you?]

Louis' eyes fell on her face. He glanced at the words on the phone she held up and raised his brows slightly.

"You can't speak?"

Maggie shook her head. With a frank and calm expression, she continued typing. [Acquired aphasia.]

Louis moved his eyes slightly, and there was a rare ripple in his eyes.

"Louis Noble."

He spoke with a cold and clear voice.

Maggie's eyelashes flickered slightly.

Oh, he was Louis Noble.

It seemed... he was her future husband.
