Chapter 30

"Oh no," he let out a laugh. "My brother is in a meeting to prepare for his coronation. I'm sure you'll meet him when he's finished." He looked behind him, his eyes landing on a very specific window out of the many that decorated the walls of the palace.

I didn't realize we had drifted from our families until I no longer heard their voices. The prince gently placed his hand on the palm of my back and lead me up the steps that lead to the front door of the palace.

"You haven't told me your name yet," I informed him as we stepped inside the palace. The place was even bigger than what it looked like from the outside. There was a long, red carpet with gold accents starting from the entrance and leading into the depths of the palace. I looked up, only to be met with a massive chandelier that was surely bigger than me. The overused phrase of 'this is brighter than my future' rolled in my head.

"This is beautiful," I gasped.
