Chapter 63

"There's a difference between belonging and feeling like you belong," He muttered. "I may belong somewhere, but that doesn't make me feel like I do. Look at you for example," He gestures toward me. "You belong here. This is your home, but you didn't feel like that when we first got here. You felt as if our old little pack was your home and that was where you belonged, but you do belong here and now you feel as if you do. You're always going to want to be where you feel like you belong, not where you do belong." I want to argue; to tell him that sometimes I do feel like I still belong back at our old rogue pack, but instead of interrupting him, I continue to listen. "That's exactly how I feel. No matter how much I may belong here, I don't want to be here, and I don't feel like I belong here. I want to be where I feel like I belong, not where other people say I belong."
