Chapter 23

"I guess," I mumbled.

His face was undefined, with an expression that I couldn't comprehend, the blue in his eyes was gone and instead it was replaced by pitch black orbs, making me shiver. I could see him shaking and his guard falling. His canines were extending and his face started turning to his wolf, black fur sprouted around his neck, and my eyes squinted. Something is familiar the way he growled lowly.

"Gordon, you should go," Selene said with worry, and then got up, trying to comfort his wolf. He took an immediate turn and walked out of our room, slamming the door behind him.

"What happened to him?" I asked Selene.

"Ah... He is just tense, and very mad about what happened back at the ceremony," she said and shrugged.

My eyes widened, "Is he mad at me?"

Selene shook her head frantically, "No, of course not. He is mad because someone tried to kill you," she exclaimed.
