Chapter 49

"What are you doing?" Gordon said lowly and grabbed a hold of my wrists, pausing me in the process of pulling his shirt off of him. He abruptly sat up, "What were you accusing Analia for, Jacinta?" He asked and tilted my chin up when I looked down in anger.

When I looked into his eyes, I could see evident curiosity in his gaze. How was I supposed to tell him this?

If I tell him the truth about Analia, then he will have no one who he can trust. Ian is dead, his dad is dead who Gordon still thinks left them, and now his own mother is cheating on him.

Instead of feeling grief for his dad and Ian, he feels remorse. I don't think I can give him more pain.

"I can't, I don't want to," I whispered, and pulled away from him, sitting up on the bed on my knees. "I can't see you hurt."
