Chapter 60

"Oh my god," she squealed, "did you hear yourself? You just made a small confession!"

I realized what she just said, and the shock settled in deep in my gut. When I looked up, Fraser was still busy talking to his friends to notice me quickly getting out of the water.

"Where are you going, Faith?" Sheila asked worriedly.

"I'll be right back; I need a drink!" I said, and she smiled then nodded.

I escaped to the woods, with jumbled thoughts leading me back to the cottage. I went through the doors into the empty house, and then into the kitchen.

My wet shirt was sticking to me, while my legs were bare since I was not wearing my black tights, I had taken it off by the river.

I bit my lip and looked around the kitchen. What should I drink?
