Why was he out this long? It doesn't take long to relieve your wolf, surely not four hours. I then looked at him while he was chewing his stake, and when I kept staring, he caught me. Our eyes locked for a minute, and I knew right then that he was hiding something.
I looked away and quickly finished my food, and then I excused myself to my room. Sitting down on my bed, I closed my eyes, and that's when my phone decided to ring. I grabbed it and smiled when the caller ID blinked Layla's picture.
"Hello," I said and then laid down on the bed.
"Hey, Faith, how are things there? Are you safe?" She asked and I chuckled.
"Yes, I am. We are going to be unfolding a lot tomorrow morning. We found the location, hopefully, where these people kept all the humans," I said and I heard her jump around gleefully. "Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'm happy for you," she exclaimed and I raised an eyebrow.
"And?" I pondered.
