Chapter 28 Begged for Mercy

"Mr. Anderson, you can go upstairs and have a rest." Chris tried to snatch back the pair of crystal cufflinks, but Deacon refused to give them.

"Mr. Anderson, Ms. White will be angry if you continue," Chris spoke again.

Deacon was in a dilemma.

In the end, he had no choice but to let it go.

With resentment on his face, he looked at Chris, who sorted out the pile of presents in front of him.

Deacon didn't understand why he couldn't have the gift since he had done a good thing.

He wanted to cry and thought it was so unfair!

The next morning.

Chonen went down from upstairs with a melancholy expression.

Without the comfort of the blanket, Chonen almost didn't sleep last night.

She looked at Deacon bitterly as if she wanted to chew him alive.

Deacon noticed Chonen's gaze and subconsciously dodged to the side.

He even didn't dare to mention the gifts to her.
