Chapter 37 It Is Worse Than Dying

"Sara, Sara?" Cassie heard a gentle voice calling her while she was drifting in and out of consciousness.

She struggled to lift her eyelids and finally managed to open them to meet Rylie's worried gaze.

Rylie let out a sigh of relief and said, "You're finally awake, dear. You scared me to death."

Cassie looked around and saw the white walls and advanced medical equipment.

She let out a bitter laugh, realizing that she had been in the hospital more times in the past six months than in the previous ten years combined.

"How did I get saved?" Cassie asked hoarsely.

Upon hearing that, Rylie quickly spoke up, "Actually, we misunderstood Archer. He didn't refuse to save you. Instead, he intentionally made it seem that way to distract the assailant and then used the opportunity to capture the assailant and save you. You should be grateful to him for saving you."

Upon hearing that, Cassie was stunned for a moment.
