Shit, well it is too late now, I am on my own and not giving up the chase. After a few more minutes and turns, her pace slowed and I could not help but smile. All that training at the academy in extreme temperatures but all our endurance up beyond others and she was running on empty. Up ahead was a 6’ concrete wall. She never looked back and scrambled up the wall, turned and made eye contact with a smirk and leapt down the other side. I was just behind her; I had just made it to the top when I heard a motorcycle nearing us.
"Damn." I muttered to myself, I jumped and landed hard on my knee again. I knew if I was not able to quicken my pace and run faster I will lose her as she takes off on that motorcycle.
Up ahead I can see that the man behind the wheel is watching us as I chase her digging in. He is ready for the moment she reaches him they are long gone.
