Are you trying to guilt-trip me? I'm not falling for it.

Erica's challenge was to be expected, and Victor realized it quickly. He had no intention of sitting idly by.

Just then, the bell rang abruptly, and Victor smiled at her.

"If you have any questions, you can wait until the next class to discuss them."

He had already finished his lecture, and his performance was quite remarkable, at least no one could find any fault with it. There was no need to create complications at this time.

Erica didn't want to follow Victor's wishes, and she continued to ask relentlessly, "As far as I know, professors are obligated to answer students' questions when they ask them."

"Of course, if your title as a professor is just gilded and for show, then you don't have to answer me either."

Her aggressiveness did not cause dissatisfaction among those around her, but instead made them even more eager to see how Victor would respond.

"How rude."

Victor sighed, rubbing his forehead. In this place where 'industry insiders' gathered, his feud with Erica was well known.

Everyone knew about his affair with an underage girl, and naturally, they were happy to see the conflict between the two.

Maybe, taking this opportunity, they would be the first to get in touch with the material, and tomorrow's headlines would have a title.

Victor didn't want to let this group of people get their wish, or else he would become the new joke of the academy and even society.

Of course, such a thing would not happen.

But he also didn't want to lose face in front of so many people.

At least give her a little lesson.

Victor was not to be outdone in the face of Erica's question, his face darkened immediately, and he pointed at the table in front of him, saying one word at a time, "This is my classroom, my rules, and I have the final say."

"Also, if you want to use your title as a professor to morally blackmail me, I advise you to drop that idea as soon as possible."

Victor raised his head, his stern gaze revealing a hint of disdain.

"I refuse to answer you."

As soon as he finished speaking, he was about to leave the classroom, but as soon as he lifted his foot, the surrounding scene began to blur, and flashes of lightning-like blue light flashed across his eyes.

When he came to his senses, he was back on the podium.

Victor fixed his gaze and saw a magic circle shimmering with a faint blue light.

"Teleportation circle..."

"I didn't expect her to set something like this up at the door."

Erica had a proud and disdainful expression on her face, staring intently at Victor.

As if trying to make Victor show a hint of panic and timidity for her to enjoy.

Then she said to Victor, "This is the question I want to ask."

"If Professor Victor cannot answer, you cannot leave."

When the people around them saw this scene, their eyes widened in shock.

WTF?

Is this... teleportation magic!?

"The genius student of the Royal Academy of Magic was able to set up a teleportation circle without anyone noticing."

"Is this the strength of the top students at the Royal Academy of Magic? Is a second-tier mage so powerful?"

"How can teleportation magic be set up so mysteriously and quickly?"

"This magical attainment is simply terrifying!"

Victor didn't answer directly, because he had inherited Victor's level and magic, but not Victor's knowledge.

He only knew how to use magic, but he didn't know the principles of magic.

It's like people know how to make a fire with a lighter, but they don't know why a lighter can make a fire.

Unexpectedly, Erica stumbled upon his blind spot.

Vega's voice echoed in his mind, "Do as I say."

Empowered by Vega's words, Victor felt a surge of confidence, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

"Well then, I'll give you an extra lesson," he declared, pointing to the dismantled teleportation array and addressing Erica below the podium.

"All you need to do is disrupt the subtle connections between the numerous sub-arrays. It's quite simple."

With that, he raised his hand and traced a sequence of runes. The runes instantly embedded themselves into the core of the magic circle, streams of light flowing towards the smaller arrays.

The teleportation array began to destabilize, its glow fading.

Erica's face hardened as she witnessed Victor effortlessly dismantling her teleportation array, beads of sweat forming on her forehead.

She could clearly feel the connection between the array and herself weakening. No matter how much magic she poured into it, she couldn't slow down the array's disappearance.

Overwhelmed, she was completely cut off from the array.

Victor snapped his fingers, and a hairpin from her head surprisingly landed in his hand.

"I'll borrow your hairpin for a moment," he remarked nonchalantly.

Erica froze, watching in disbelief as her hairpin was snatched away.

Her teleportation magic had been exploited.

The rest of the audience continued to crane their necks, eager to see the spectacle unfold. The once-dim teleportation array flickered back to life, but it seemed to be under Victor's control.

He teleported the flower pot from the windowsill to the podium and then transferred the clock on the wall to the ceiling.

It was as if he could teleport anything within the room at will.

Finally, he gave Erica a new seat, teleporting her from the front row to the very back.

Victor decided to call it a day and drew another sequence of runes. After a series of manipulations, the teleportation array returned to its original state.

He gently placed Erica's hairpin on the podium and addressed her from the back, "Alright, you can try it again now."

Erica glared at him with a resentful gaze and attempted to activate the array once more.

The hairpin on the podium vanished once again, neither returning to Erica's hand nor appearing in Victor's possession.

Victor maintained his poker face and remarked nonchalantly, "Congratulations, your hairpin has been transported to another dimension."

Erica was dumbfounded. No matter how she manipulated the magic array, the missing hairpin never returned.

Victor didn't stop his actions and continued, "This array has another method of deactivation."

Raising his right hand, he snapped his fingers, and the Mage's Hand on his right hand emitted six beams of light. Six magic arrays simultaneously lit up in the air.

The crowd gasped, "Multiple casting!? And six at that?"

"How is this possible?"

"Nothing is impossible, Victor is a Tier 3 mage!"

"The showdown between the genius professor and the genius student of the Royal Academy of Magic, it was worth coming here for!"

Victor waved his hand, dismissing their praise, and calmly stated, "Direct suppression is all it takes."

With that, the Mage's Hand gently clenched in the air, and the six arrays lit up simultaneously.

Boom!

Under the overwhelming magical pressure, a shocking crack appeared in the teleportation array.

Then, it vanished without a trace.

Erica's hairpin never came back. She lowered her head, her body trembling slightly.

It was impossible to discern her exact expression.

Victor chuckled softly and turned to leave.

"Erica, remember, this is my answer to you, along with a little lesson."

"I'm very busy, and I want to get out of class on time."

He didn't care about the impact his actions might have and walked straight out of the classroom.

As soon as he stepped out of the door, a wave of commotion erupted from the classroom behind him, but that was no longer his concern.

....

Victor returned to his office and whiled away the time. As the bell rang for the last class of the day, he remembered the library and decided to go there to see if he could find anything new.

He teleported directly from the Mage Tower, and the library that met his eyes was exactly as he remembered it from the game.

He picked up a random book and began flipping through it when a dialog box suddenly flashed before his eyes:

[Learn Tier 1 Magic: Rolling Fireball]

[Required Materials: Flame Flower, Harpy Feather]

This was why Victor had bought so many materials before, as they could not only be used to craft items but also be consumed in the library to learn magic.

Learning magic naturally cost some money, but as a lord, Victor, with his deep pockets, didn't mind at all.

This was also a loophole in the game.

Those materials could only be obtained by killing neutral monsters in the outside world.

However, Victor could simply rely on his financial resources to buy them疯狂地 from the store.

Seeing as it was still early, Victor went on a learning spree in the library, learning most of the Beginner Magic available on the first floor.

That was until he had exhausted all the materials in his pouch and half of the money in his pocket.

He had basically learned everything that could be learned.

By this time, it was dusk, and the golden glow of the setting sun streamed into the library, casting a warm hue on the floor.

As the day drew to a close, a discordant light suddenly flickered on from the depths of the library.

It seemed that he wasn't the only one 'studying' diligently in the library.

Curious about who it was, Victor followed the light.

When he saw the person, he was taken aback.

"Herny?"

It was his assistant, who was sitting at a desk, pen in hand, scribbling furiously.

He could even hear the mumbling coming from his mouth.

"Let Professor Victor teach this topic tomorrow..."
