34. Going to Albion Citadel

Seeing the three of them disappear from my sight made me smile broadly.

I don't know why I can feel such a good feeling when I do that, and they deserve to die because many people suffer because of their actions.

"Rei, what are you doing! Why did you kill them all?" suddenly I heard Katalina's voice shouting at me.

Hearing that made me turn to Katalina confusedly, "What do you mean, Katalina? I'm just repaying for what they did all this time."

They looked shocked when I said that without any guilt at all... why are they so shocked? Isn't it normal to punishing someone who is evil by killing them?

What I don't know is that right now they are paying attention to my four wings, which are still glowing purple and have not dimmed at all.

Seeing them just silent, I finally chose to return to the Grandcypher to check on Djeeta's condition because I'm sure she also felt the shaking from earlier.

I dispelled my four wings and finally walked back to the Grandcypher.

Katalina and the others watched as Rei turned and left them to return to the Grandcypher.

Meanwhile, Rackam was approaching the place where the three people that Rei had killed were to check for any remnants, but Rackam didn't find any traces at all.

The people disappeared immediately after being killed by Rei and did not leave anything behind except a stain of piss from one of them.

"Aghhh Why that Rei! suddenly he killed those people even though there must have been some people on that ship who is innocent and just worked for the Erste Empire!?" Vyrn exclaimed in confusion about how his best pals number 2 suddenly acted like this.

"there is nothing left..." Rackam began to speak, while turning to where the imperial airship was parked before that disappeared as well because of Rei's actions.

"Yes, this is all really strange... and also isn't this the first time he has killed humans?" Katalina said to them.

Eugen, Rosetta, and Io were shocked to hear that. "Huh?? What do you mean this is the first time he has killed a human?" Eugen asked Katalina.

"Ah, yes, you three have only recently joined us so you don't know Rei's past," Katalina realized that she had not told them about Rei.

They didn't have a chance to tell Rei's past because usually Rei himself would do that, and since they were in Valtz Duchy, they didn't have the opportunity to talk casually with him.

Because Rei had been unconscious for a week and then disappeared, and now he had returned like this.

"Well then, I will tell you about Rei's past," Vyrn suggested.

"Huh? Is it okay? Wouldn't it be better to wait for Rei to tell it himself?" Rackam hesitated to tell someone's past without them being involved.

"It's okay, besides, Rei doesn't mind if someone knows about his world," Vyrn replied to Rackam.

Vyrn then told Io, Eugen, and Rosetta what Rei had told them before.

"Wait, there is another world like that?!" Io looked amazed hearing about Rei's world.

"A normal world only inhabited by humans without other races like Elves, Draphs, and Harvins?" Eugen tried to imagine how a world like that could exist.

"A world where they live on the ground and not on floating islands?" Rosetta was also imagining a world where they didn't have to worry about falling to the bottom of the sky.

Katalina, Rackam, and Vyrn simply nodded as they observed their reaction, as they themselves had a similar reaction when the three of them heard about Rei's world.

Meanwhile, Lyria had already disappeared from that place to chase after Rei because she had bad feeling about Rei for a while.

As I walked back to the Grandcypher, I felt my calm returning and the sensation I had when I felt happy while killing them slowly began to fade.

...huh, why did I do that? Their task was just to deliver a message to us, and I didn't even know if they were also involved in making other people suffer or not.

I could see the Grandcypher getting closer, and I just needed to walk up this plank to board the Grandcypher.

But I had no intention at all of returning to the Grandcypher... I was still thinking why did I do that, was it because I was using Lucilius's body?

Strangely, even though I was thinking like this, I didn't feel guilty at all and just felt "they deserve it."

I then raised my right hand and began to look at the palm of my right hand... the hand I used to strike those three people and kill many people on the imperial airship.

After a while, I finally decided not to board the Grandcypher and walked to get some fresh air, I was sure we would head to Albion later.

I remembered Katalina's reaction when she heard that name, it seemed like she knew the name of the island, and I also felt like I had heard that name from the game.

But I didn't remember it too well, maybe when I arrived on the island, I could start to remember it...

I started walking through the edge of this island, and the fresh air on this island truly made my mind calm... unlike my previous world filled with pollution.

"Rei," suddenly I heard Lyria's voice calling me from behind.

I then turned to Lyria and saw her running towards me, finally stopping in front of me.

"What Lyria? I just wanted to get some fresh air while waiting for a moment."

Lyria seemed to be staring at me, and finally she stared at me with a determined look. "Let me accompany you."

Why was she looking at me like that? And the feeling from Lyria that I sensed let me know that even if I rejected her, Lyria would still follow me.

In the end I just sighed and let Lyria follow me, Lyria upon hearing that finally smiled and then she walked beside me, and we both started walking along the edge of this island...

<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

After walking around enjoying the fresh air for a while, the two of us finally decided to return to the Grandcypher.

As we boarded the Grandcypher, we could see Katalina and Rosetta waiting for us, but I didn't see Djeeta at all, so I asked Katalina.

Katalina explained that when they returned, Djeeta was sleeping while leaning against a barrel, so Katalina carried Djeeta and put her in her room.

Vyrn and the others also decided to sleep, so the only ones waiting for us were Katalina and Rosetta.

"Fufufu~ it seems like you two have had enough fun," I heard Rosetta speak.

Lyria and I were confused by what Rosetta meant, and I also saw Katalina nudging Rosetta to stop.

"What happened Katalina?" Lyria asked Katalina when she saw their behavior.

"Um, well... Lyria, is your mouth okay?" Katalina hesitantly asked Lyria.

Hearing that made me turn to Lyria, and I could see why Katalina and Rosetta seemed to know something...

It turned out that Lyria's lips looked red and slightly swollen because of my actions previously...

Katalina then took out a small mirror to give to Lyria, and finally the confused Lyria tried to check her face using the mirror.

"Ehhhhhh!" Lyria immediately screamed and panicked when she saw her red and slightly swollen lips, then she ran off to her room leaving me behind.

...I could only turn to Katalina and Rosetta, who seemed to be having fun watching Lyria's reaction.

"Hahh, why did you make Lyria run off like that?" I shook my head and said to them.

"What can we do, seeing Lyria's reaction was really funny, you know," Katalina replied while nodding.

In the end, they both said that tomorrow we would go to Albion to check what the Empire had planned and told me to rest.

I just agreed with their words because I was tired and wanted to go back to my room.

I bid them both goodnight and walked back to my room.

When I arrived in my room, I opened the door and looked around... everything looked the same and there was no change from before I passed out in Valtz Duchy.

Except for a girl sleeping deeply on my bed... huh, I forgot that Narmaya was here.

And right now, she was sleeping, taking up almost half of my bed. I was too tired to move Narmaya, so I gently shifted her to the side and finally started to fall asleep...

Meanwhile, in Albion Castle, two people are having a secret discussion.

"Good grief... I can't fathom why you won't just let it go! But you have your reasons, I suppose. Would you mind telling me why? Don't be shy!"

General Furias is seen speaking with a girl sitting in front of him.

The girl sitting in front of Furias gives a wry smile in response and nothing more.

Seeing that the girl does not want to answer, he finally gives up and continues his conversation.

"Fine. It's probably stupid anyway. But since we both want the same thing, I see no reason not to team up with you."

Furias finally stands and walks towards the window to look outside. From this window, he can see the view of the entire city because they are currently in a high place.

"Just don't make me regret this, okay?" Furias turns to the girl with a wide grin.

Meanwhile, the girl staring back at him maintains a gentle smile on her face.
