"I don't know how much longer I can do this, Eliana," Michael said, his voice barely a whisper.
"What are you talking about?" Eliana asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"I'm talking about us," Michael said, his eyes locked on hers. "I can't keep pretending that everything is okay, that we're fine."
Eliana's eyes widened in shock, her grip tightening around the bouquet.
"I don't understand," she said, her voice trembling. "Are you...breaking up with me?"
"I don't want to," Michael said, his voice heavy with emotion. "But I can't go on like this, pretending that everything is fine when it's not."
"What are you saying, Michael?" Eliana asked, her eyes welling up with tears.
"I'm saying that I'm not the man you think I am," Michael said, his gaze filled with sadness. "I've been keeping a part of myself hidden from you, afraid to show you my true self. But now, I have no choice."
Eliana was silent, her eyes searching his for answers.
"What are you talking about, Michael?" Eliana said, her voice barely a whisper.
