The Joyful Melody of Little Fubao

In the Li household, Li Chengyuan affectionately tousled his young son's hair, jokingly admonishing him, "Son, calling your sister a pig? Maybe you're the pig here!" Li Xiaolei, his youngest son, playfully stuck out his tongue in response.

The other three boys burst into laughter at Xiaolei's expense, finding his antics amusing. Fu Bao, the newborn daughter of the family, observed the scene with innocent delight, her laughter bubbling up like a sweet melody. It was a pure and unconscious expression of joy that warmed everyone's hearts.

Li Xiaolei was quick to notice Fubao's laughter and eagerly pointed it out to his brothers, exclaiming, "Look, sister's laughing at me!"

However, Li Xiaoyi, the third son, disagreed, insisting, "No, she's clearly laughing at me!"

Meanwhile, Li Xiaoli, the second son, was convinced that Fubao was smiling at him. Even Li Xiaojun, the eldest brother, claimed that Fubao smiled at him too.

Their playful banter escalated into a near quarrel, echoing through the Li household. Mrs. Li, the family matriarch, felt a twinge of annoyance at the commotion.

Asserting her authority, Mrs. Li silenced the boys, reminding them sternly, "Quiet down, all of you! Fubao's laughing at her grandma. Now, what have you got to say?"

The boys fell silent, understanding the gravity of their grandmother's words.

Though slightly disappointed at the lack of agreement, Mrs. Li's heart swelled with happiness at the sight of Fubao's smile. Even if Fubao didn't smile at them now, she knew that she would bring joy to her brothers in the future. They would find a way to reciprocate her happiness.

Meanwhile, next door, Lin Xiaohua observed the Li family with disdain, commenting to her companion, "The Yanfen family is so peculiar. They seem delighted with their daughter every day. It's befuddling!"

Lin Xiaohua's gaze shifted to her own daughter, who was struggling to walk and crying on the ground. Rather than console her, Lin Xiaohua scolded her bitterly, resenting her for being a burden.

Her husband, Guan Haifeng, blamed her for not bearing sons, casting envious glances at the Li family's daughter-in-law. He speculated about the benefits the Li family must have received from their wealthy neighbor, the Huo family.

Lin Xiaohua paused in her tirade, shocked by Guan Haifeng's revelation. She pondered the unexpected visit from the Huo family's daughter-in-law, wondering what gifts she had brought.

With a calculating gleam in his eye, Guan Haifeng resolved to uncover the Li family's secrets and claim a share of their newfound prosperity.
