Once there lived a king with blood of moon,
He had a queen with blood not as blue,
Listen child, to the howls of the wolves in dead of the night,
All those stories you heard were true,
The crown was fought over with,
Blood was spilled and from the blood there was birth,
The kingdom with madness in veins,
The very grounds and inheritance was cursed,
There were many who came forth,
Those said queens with noth but greed and thirst,
Claiming to calm the madness that ran in blood,
A place that belonged to no one but her,
As she spoke, his madness replied,
To her dance, his obsession raised to insanity,
The mind with chaos turned silent to all but her,
Oh, look at the mad king who fell for vanity,
Look child, to the wolf running wild,
He will put down the throne and kneel,
He will hurt and kill if that is her will,
There is nothing he will not do for his Queen,
So beware of the wolf in the night,
For his madness can only be undone by her sight.

“My love….”
He creased her sweating face with his fingers. The heavy breathing from her was exciting him, his heart drumming against his chest as her almost lifeless eyes stared at him blankly.
“Soon, our son will be born. Soon, you will understand.” He softly said while kissing her cold fingers which were attempting to push him.
“No…..” she whispered in desperation, in plea.
“Sshhh….my dear. I beg you, I beg you. Just once, just wait. When our child will be born, you will see. It doesn’t matter if we are not soul bound, I will love you both the very same.”
She wanted to cry and scream at him. She didn’t want to give birth to a child of this monster. She just wanted to die in peace.
Moon god, please let her die in peace.
“Just another month. I will make you my queen. Our child will rule KoyuOrman in years to come. You will rule with me, as my queen, as the true moon mother of my people. They will love you as I love you.”
“I don’t…..no….” She begged and once again tried to push his lips away from her. Her mind was clear but her body just wasn’t listening to her. Her bones felt like soft candle wax. And her broken heart was barely beating.
“It will all be okay. Just a few more weeks, then our family will be completed.” He whispered as if unable to hear her pleas. He licked the tears repeatedly falling down from her eyes and smiled. His hands rubbed her large belly affectionately.
He really couldn’t wait to meet his son.
“I will be back tonight. Eat the food brought by the servants and stop crying. We have a long life ahead of us.” He kissed her trembling lips and raised himself from the bed while smiling. His eyes were brightened, lips widened in the grin.
She looked at him as if the devil was standing and staring down at her.
But she couldn’t form words, couldn’t put up a fight.
She watched as he left with a small army he carried everywhere with him and the room went silent but she could finally breathe easier.
She closed her eyes and tried to bite down on her tongue, once again attempting to end her life but like the past million times in two years, she failed to gain strength to do anything.
She couldn’t do it, she really couldn’t bear it anymore.
While praying to the moon, she fell into slumber, hoping she would never open her eyes again.
She didn’t know what time of the day it was but it was probably still daylight since he wasn’t back in the room. She woke up due to the sound of cutlery and looked beside her. Someone was standing beside the table, a net veil covered their face but then again, everyone who tended to her was always covered.
She turned her eyes to stare to the opposite side when the figure moved towards her.
“Drink it.” The voice sounded soft, almost a whisper.
She unconsciously opened her mouth and the spoon went into her mouth.
Suddenly the strange taste hit her tongue and her eyes widened in shock. She looked at the veiled figure.
Was she finally getting her wish? Is it time for her to go?
“This is medicine to reverse the effects of the paralysis drugs. Tonight, when he sleeps, I will come for you. You have to escape.”
She wanted to scream no. She didn’t want to run. She simply wanted to die.
She tried to shake her head but failed.
“I know your highness that you are tired of as your subject, as a woman who owes your husband a debt, you must live. This child needs to be born. You must live till the child is born.”
She couldn’t understand. Does she have to give birth to this monster?
An omega child is the biggest shame to a mated wolf.
“You must. Tonight, we will bring you to the border of NoireLune and you must cross to the other side. The child must reach NoireLune. I beg of you, just hold on for a little while. I will come tonight.”
She wanted to call out to this person and ask how. How was she supposed to escape from his hands? He who always slept beside her, held her in his arms and woke up on her single uneven breath.
But none of her questions could be asked so nothing was answered either. The woman in veil left the room quietly and she who was still unable to move was left all alone.
