ANGELLE
"Hihihi."
"Sistah, can you please stop giggling. You're so gross already." Lica said in a disdainful manner.
I didn't pay attention to this and continued composing a reply to Link. I know, I know, I look like a fool already but I love it. I can't help but be happy and giddy.
After what happened to me last night, I know I should be traumatized by now. But here I am, feeling giddy as if nothing bad happened to me.
"That's how it is when a person is in love. You think you'll lose your voice because of the giddiness," Ate Jove said, sitting on the floor.
The three of us are here in my room watching The Nun, but because I'm busy texting. No one is screaming or shouting because I'm not focused on what we're watching.
"This one's crazy." I heard Lica say. "She should stop imitating, not getting giddy like a worm." She added.
"Yeah, and there's no forever, Couz," Ate Jove said.
I couldn't help it anymore and angrily threw my phone at them. Their eyes widened as they looked at me and my phone that was still intact.
"Do you have a problem? Because if you do, spill it now. Don't just point fingers at me," I said sharply to the two of them.
"N-no, Couz. Hehe, we're just happy because—" before she could finish her sentence, I cut her off.
"The next time I hear any of your violent reactions, don't show up in front of me. Don't come near me." I said and left them in my room.
Tch. I know that Ate Jove is against the relationship I have with Link. But can't they just be happy? Support me? Why didn't I support them in their love lives?
I went straight to the bathroom and took a shower. I'll just change in my room since I forgot to bring my things.
After showering, I came out of the bathroom with only a towel covering my body. I reached my room, which was clean and the two hater were gone.
They were just afraid of me catching them. They know my temper when I'm angry.
I quickly took clothes from the cabinet and put them on one by one. I can't put them on all at once, am I Venom?
I was just going to wear a T-shirt when someone entered my room.
"My shark— shit."
"Aaaaaaaah!" I screamed and quickly covered my body with a pillow. Nah, it’s useless I covered my body with towel.
Dammit. Did he see? Damn it.
He turned around. "I-I'm sorry."
"What are you doing here? And who gave you permission to come up here?!" I asked irritably.
"Tita let me in." He replied.
I quickly put on the t-shirt and pulled it into my room.
"Are you crazy? Can't you see I'm changing?! Don't you know how to knock?" I angrily yelled at him.
"Is it my fault? You're changing with the door open!" he insisted.
"I've been doing that for a long time! You're a pervert!"
"You're the pervert for accusing me of that."
"What do you think of yourself?"
"Do I look like I perverted you? If only you closed it."
"If only you knocked, right?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Close your door next time, you're not a child anymore." He said and sat on my bed.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes at him. "Whatever!" I grumbled and was about to walk towards my study table when he pulled me to sit on his lap.
I immediately stood up and slapped him. "Ow, that hurt." He said, touching his arm.
"Stop it, Link. If mama sees us, it's over." I said.
He chuckled softly and pulled me to sit next to him again, facing him.
"You're beautiful." He said, smiling.
"Your face." I scoffed.
"Tch. You're beautiful especially when you haven't brushed your hair yet." He teased.
I slapped him but he just laughed. He thought I was amused?
"Stop it, Link. You're not funny anymore," I said irritably.
Then he hugged me from the side. "Sorry I Just missed teasing you," I smirked in response.
"Yeah, right. That's why we'll break up on the first day." I teased and stood up.
"What kind of joke is that, Angelle? Not funny." He said with a frown like a child who had his lollipop taken away.
I glanced at him and gave a cold expression. "I can make my own jokes, Link." I said.
Damn. I want to laugh at the guy's paleness. I'm really good at scaring, so. He really thought I could do it? Haha.
He stood up and took the comb, then he pulled me to sit on my bed and started combing my hair. I smiled at what he did.
"Whatever your plan to do, I won't let it happen. I won't let you go," he said as he continued combing my hair.
My heart skipped a beat. And those butterflies in my stomach started their party again.
"You won't lose me. Just don't give me a reason to leave you," I said.
He turned me to face him and caressed my cheek. "I love you, Angelle. And I won't get tired of always saying and reminding you that." He said. I smiled.
"I'm happy that I got you. Even though our first meeting wasn't beautiful, our ending turned out well." Tch. Ending? Is this the end?
I don't know if this is the ending of our love story. I'm not sure if we're meant to be together until the end. A story doesn't end without a climax.
"Always remember, My Shark, that I love you." He smiled and kissed me on the forehead, causing me to close my eyes.
"I love you, too."
This is how it feels when you are confident that the man in your heart loves you. I never felt this way with my exes.
I just knew that I loved them. And they loved me, that was okay. But apparently, that wasn't enough.
"Link," I called out to him.
"Hmm?"
I let out a sigh. "It's been months but Isiah and I still haven't talked. He'll be mad at me because I kept this from him for so long." I said in a sad voice.
Link held my hand and gave me a smile. "My shark, he'll understand even if you don't tell him for a year." He said.
"I don't want that, I want to tell him. I don't want my best friend to hope in vain."
"How about you, when do you plan to?"
I looked out the window. "After we finish our film."
"Okay. I'll support you," I smiled and hugged him.
"Thank you," I said and then pulled away from the hug.
He finished combing my hair. Then we went down to the living room and sat next to Hero who was watching Tom and Jerry.
"Link," the three of us turned when Mama called out to Link.
"Why, Tita?" he politely asked.
Mama smiled. "Can we talk for a moment?" he nodded and stood up.
I was about to stand up to follow Link when Mama spoke. "You can't be part of our conversation. Just stay quiet there," Mama said.
I frowned and stayed seated. What will they talk about? Mama already knows that Link and I are together. What could they be discussing? Oh, jeez.
I looked at Hero and approached him. "Hero, go to the kitchen. Pretend to drink and listen to what Mama and Link are talking about." Hero looked at me like, "what?"
"You see me watching. You're ordering me around!" he said in annoyance, and I gave him a look.
"Grr. Hey! Don’t answer me like tha!" I said in anger.
He didn't say anything, which annoyed me more. "Aren't you going to answer?" He scratched his head, irritated.
"You were angry earlier because I was answering you, now you're angry that I'm not. What are you, an alien?"
Grr. He should be thankful I don't hurt my sibling.
After a while, Link came out of the kitchen and pulled me up. I looked at him in wonder.
"Why?" I asked him.
"Aunt asked me to buy something on the market. Do you want to come?" I nodded. He turned to the kitchen. "Aunt, Angelle and I are going out for a bit." He said.
"Okay." Mama replied from the kitchen.
Link led me out of the house, and we started walking towards the marketplace.
"What did you and Mama talk about?" I asked.
"About us, she asked me not to hurt you." He replied with a smile.
"Ah. I thought it was something else, she didn't want me to join your conversation." I said.
"Of course, Aunt just wanted the two of us to talk so I could focus." I furrowed my brows.
"Am I a distraction to you?"
"Not really, but when you're around, my focus is only on you— ow!" he yelped as I hit him harshly.
Tch. That's for making me blush.
"That hurt, ah." he said while rubbing his hand.
"Stop being corny." I said.
"It's not being corny. That's how it is when you're in love, no corniness involved." He insisted.
"I don't care about your reason, just don't make me blush." I rolled my eyes.
He smiled at what I said and held my hand. "Just admit that you're blushing." Tch.
"Oh, so what if I'm blushing because of your silliness?"
"Nothing, you're just cute." He said.
I just shrugged and didn't engage further. This guy talks a lot, sometimes you get annoyed because of the overload of gossip.
When we arrived at the marketplace. He left me for a moment at the playground and bought me food before he said goodbye to buy the items Mama requested. I even got annoyed at him because he didn't even want to take me along. He said I might get tired, doesn't he know that I'm used to walking? Whether far or near.
Instead of ignoring Link, I finished what I was eating. I didn't want to waste what he bought.
"Hit you with a Ddu-Ddu-Ddu~"
I quickly took out my cell phone from my pocket and answered the call from Ernest. Hmm?
"Hello, Ernest?"
"Glad to hear your voice."
I smiled at his words. "Why did you call?"
"Ah. Angelle, everything's okay now. We'll leave later tonight, so get ready. Ann and I will pick you up around 10 pm."
Oh. So it's tonight? What a shame, Link is already here.
"Okay."
"Alright, see you later."
"Same."
BEEP! BEEP!
I let out a sigh and raised an eyebrow. We're enjoying being a couple for just one day and I have to leave tonight? That's annoying.
"Oh, why the frown?" I raised my head and saw Link who had just arrived.
"Tch. Let's go home," I said and pulled him.
He looked at me in confusion but I didn't pay attention to him. I wanted to leave last night and shoot today, now I'm annoyed. I don't know, I just want to stay here.
"My shark, I know something happened that's why you're like this," Link said.
"We're leaving later to go to Cavite." I replied.
"You should've done that in January."
"We're submitting it on January 2. Sir gave us a chance to submit it because we missed the deadline." I said with a frown.
The man smiled and held my hand. "Don't worry about that. Your short film will be over soon."
Will three days be over just like that?
When we got home, Link also said goodbye and told me to come to their place later. I nodded and went up to my room to pack my things.
After finishing, I informed Mama and went to Link's place. I caught them having a serious conversation in the living room. Is there a problem?
"Guys?" I caught their attention.
They all looked at me and everyone scrambled to get up from their seats. What's wrong with them?
Prof smiled hesitantly at me and approached. "Sup, Gelle?" I smiled back, feeling puzzled.
Hmm. I smell something? Are they hiding something from me? But why are Ate Jove and Lica there?
"Do I need to know something?" I asked.
"Ah... nothing, we're just talking about the get-together on Sunday." Tch.
I rolled my eyes and looked for Link. Where is that guy?
"Where's Link?" I asked.
"Guys, I plan to— oh, shit!"
I chuckled softly at Link's reaction when he saw me standing. Why? Do I look like a monster?
He just came downstairs and wanted to say something but changed his mind when he saw me.
"You're here already?" he asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" I teased.
He glanced at Prof and then at me. "Sit down first," he said.
"I'll sit down when you tell me what you're hiding," I said sharply, he furrowed his brow.
"Hiding? What do you mean?"
Tch. You're not a good liar, Link.
"I caught them discussing something here so seriously. Then when I arrived, they all acted like nothing happened?" I said.
"Ah..."
"Couz, we just wanted to know who the person from Bros you mentioned got on your nerves." Ate Jove suddenly spoke up. Everyone looked at her.
I closed my eyes as I remembered what happened last night. I didn't tell Papa and Mama about it because I didn't want them to worry. I know I should tell them but I just didn't want them to worry about me.
"Let it go. Just leave them alone," I said and sat down.
"But, Couz. Do you want it to happen again?"
"Nah. If we fight back, we'll be in more trouble. You might get involved too," Ate Jove said.
"Those kids won't stop until they get what they want."
I sighed. "Don't worry about that," I said.
"Whatever! Let's go upstairs." Ate Jove said and pulled Andre.
The others followed her, and only Link remained seated beside me. He hugged me.
"I don't want you to leave tonight. You should be home by six at your place." I pushed him away gently.
"That's a strict curfew!" I complained.
He raised an eyebrow at me. Tch, seriously!
"That's for your safety, Angelle. There are many Bros here."
"I don't care about them." I said firmly.
"You may not care about them, but I do. Because they hurt you," he said, irritated.
"Link, they won't come back."
He sighed. "Angelle, you don't know the Bros. They are young people or known as a gang. If you offend even one of them, they all become your enemies."
I swallowed hard. So, I'm already an enemy of all the Bros? Tch, even though I haven't done anything to them? And whoever they say I offended. Crazy!
"Tch. How did a gang form here?"
"I don’t know but once you're part of a gang, you're feared."
"Well, why didn't you join?"
"We don't want trouble. We prefer fashion." I smiled and playfully placed my palm on his cheek.
"That's why I fell in love with you." I said with a smile.
I raised my eyebrows when I saw him blushing. Oh, shit. Did I make him blush? Hehe, so cuteeeeeeeee :3
"You're blushing!" I teased him while pointing at his face.
"No, I'm not," he denied, giving me a look.
Look at him, so delighted when he's teasing others. And then when I tease him, he's angry. Tch!
"Come on. Just admit that you were touched by what I said. Come on gay!" I teased him further.
He didn't like being called gay. Haha, I don't care!
"Who's gay?"
"Do you want me to spell his name?" I teased.
"Tch."
"Tch."
"Stop it."
"Stop it."
"Are you copying me?"
"Are you copying me?"
"Here you go again."
"Here you go again."
Haha. It's really fun teasing this one.
"Are you going to keep copying me?"
"Are you going to keep copying me?"
"I love you."
"I hate you."
He frowned. "I love you."
"I hate you."
"One more time." He said irritably and stood up.
"One more time." I mimicked him and stood up as well.
He looked at me annoyed and smirked. I smirked back at him.
"I love you."
"I hat—"
Before I could finish, he
suddenly approached me and kissed me passionately. I was shocked by what he did and couldn't react immediately.
When he pulled away, a wider grin formed on his lips. "You're still copying me." He said and went to the kitchen.
I raised my eyebrows and nibbled on my lower lip. This was our second kiss, waaaaaaAaaaah.
I sat on the couch, feeling like a fool with a big smile on my face.
