I was still in the middle of a meeting when Joseph entered into the office and whispered " your magesty the Emperess is pregnant"

Hearing this my face shown brightly I left the meeting early not giving a hood of white the council members said went directly to the room where she was with her maid taking tea when I heard her talking about her life for some reason I got angry

As her husband I was to be the one she was to confide into but she confided herself to her maid not even letting her finish her statement I barged into the room

" What are you doing here" she asked staring directly at him

That stare she had started to be brave which I loved

" Oh nothing I just came to congratulate you for bearing my first child and so to be safe I would add the guards so that you won't try anything stupid"

She looked at me with anger in her eyes " I am not that cruel to harm my own child" she responded

I sighed knowing that the conversation would bring nothing good to our relationship and just responded," we can never know" saying this I moved to the door and before I left I said" this is the gift for bearing my first child " and with this I motioned the guards to let the youngest princess of the fairy kingdom, princess Harper fredgt

After a long day of work I was so tired but my mind kept drifting to her if she had eaten or was already asleep.

When I got to my room I found her asleep holding her belly . She had a faint smile on her face I had never seen her smile at me she either looked at me in horror or in anger which made me angry .

Tucking into sleep I joined her on the bed while kissing her stomach and forehead before drifting to sleep

In my dream I saw my mom she was carrying me in her arms and singing a lullaby to me"

" Ares ,should I tell you why I named you like that baby " she asked stroking my hair

" Yes mother " I responded

" I wanted to be strong as was the god of war Ares and also Ares had a reputation to love his wife more than his life and that is what I want you do Ares never forget to treat your wife as a jewel don't ever let her feel scared of you and treasure your children that is what I want you to do will you promise to abide to those principles "

" Yes mother " and with that we shook our pinky finger thus sealing our promise.

I woke up with a startle " mother " I called out I am sorry for breaking the promise I said in low voice
