I was currently meeting with the ruler of my most powerful kingdom, The Kingdom of Slarius. This kingdom had a very competent ruler and he led his kingdom to glory during the war against the Mobil Kingdom. His undying loyalty to the demon lord made him a very valued asset and allowed him to persevere in his difficult childhood.
He started as a simple foot soldier of the Wingeds as he trained himself harder than all of his colleagues. He wasn't talented by any means, yet he worked hard to bridge the gap between him and his peers, making him rise to the position of king. Jacob Slarius is a role model for every youngster out there.
I was meeting with him today for guidance. As a queen, I had no experience and I wasn't prideful enough to attempt to rule an entire realm without any help. Despite my personality change in recent years, I was still a good person at heart. I sought help from Jacob since he had been ruling for four centuries and he was more than willing to help the successor to the throne.
Jacob spoke a language native to Slarius so he had an accent when speaking English, yet it wasn't displeasing and was quite soothing. Jacob had known about the rebellion from my other kingdoms and he had attempted to stop it, but he is a single king against many others, so he couldn't have hoped to stop them.
I had five kingdoms that were established during the later years of Heimdall's rule and they had stopped paying when they heard about his resignation from the throne. They all had rulers that were above the first rank of the S-tier, making them arrogant and conceited with Jacob being the only exception.
I had my sights set on Triton, a trading kingdom that brought in the most tax income. They were an economic kingdom that constantly poached resources from my treasury to bring in a lot of income, yet they were taking my funds without any taxes. This kingdom's warfare capabilities were lacking compared to most, but they still boasted an unbelievable amount of power.
I had summoned the rulers of these kingdoms weeks ago, yet Jacob was the only one who came despite not being summoned. He overheard about the re-emergence of the demon lord and he came rushing to his respects. I felt pissed off at their audacity but I knew better than to act impulsively.
"Jacob, I am thankful for your willingness to assist me in my matters. I understand that you have a kingdom to rule over, so I apologize for taking your time."
Jacob concluded his visit today since he had matters to attend to but he still helped me for the past week, so I am grateful for his support.
"No need to thank me, my queen, I am proud to serve you as the successor to demon lord Heimdall and I trust that you will lead and manage this realm expertly."
He bid farewell before I made my way to my office to go over matters that could not be handled by my advisors. I have had steady growth in the past weeks, so I am confident in my ability to rule in my image.
"Trisha, have Oscar and Naomi returned from Brokaw. If so, summon them immediately."
Oscar and Naomi arrived promptly before entering my office at my command. There had been a wild monster surge in the nearby areas of my region so Oscar and Naomi went to the village beside my mountain for information.
Monsters and demons could be classified as one thing, but demons are creatures that have gained sentience and a demonic bloodline, rather than brainless monsters driven solely by instinct, such as lesser imps and goblins. There have been some rare cases where a monster has gained sentience and awakened a bloodline, which often led to the creation of a new demon race. The succubae are an example; the succubae and incubae were lustful creatures that used sex as a primary source of energy, but there were anomalies among us that gained sentience, which then passed onto their descendants, labelling succubae and incubae as a main demon race.
I could be labelled as an anomaly in the entirety of the underworld, a being capable of amassing Phantasmic strength in less than three centuries. A rank that only those in a higher plane can achieve, also known as demigods.
