2 weeks later

Maxwell was in the kitchen making breakfast while Akuro savored his food.

It had already been two weeks since Maxwell began training with Hito. He had made significant progress since then. The more he trained, the stronger he felt.

After finishing his meal, he placed his plate on the table and sat down.

Maxwell looked down and saw the cat eating his food with big bites.

Maxwell: "Jeez... Eat slowly... I know you are part of the Sins, but be proper."

Akuro gulped his food. "The weak eat slowly, and I'm not like them," he said confidently.

Maxwell rolled his eyes and decided to just eat his own food.

Suddenly, as he was about to put the food in his mouth, his phone rang. He looked at it, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Oh... It's Ashley...!"

Akuro looked up at him in curiosity. "Your sister?"

Maxwell nodded and answered the call. "Hey Ashley, what's up?"

Ashley answered with her calm yet energetic voice, "Hey Max! How are you doing?"

Maxwell: "Ah, doing alright... What about you, how's work?"

Ashley sighed. "Stressful, but it's alright..."

Maxwell smiled as he heard her words. It had been a few months since he talked with her. He was always the one to call her, but it was a surprise that she was the one to do it this time.

"So... How's the vacation so far?"

"It's... interesting," he responded, glancing at Akuro, who was cleaning his mouth.

Ashley: "Oh, nice, nice..."

Maxwell looked confused as he listened to the sudden change in her tone. "Er... Is there something wrong?"

"Hmm... I just have a strange feeling, like you're hiding something from me."

Maxwell's heart skipped a beat. Fear crept into his mind as he struggled to find the right words.

Maxwell leaned in to whisper to Akuro about what to do, but Akuro seemed clueless. Maxwell sighed and decided to improvise a fake story.

"Yeah, Ashley, I've been having a blast on vacation. Actually, just yesterday, I met this incredibly hot girl at the beach," Maxwell said, embellishing the story.

Ashley couldn't contain her laughter. "Oh really? And did you two hit it off?"

Maxwell chuckled nervously. "Uh, yeah, we hit it off pretty well. But then her sister showed up and started making fun of me, so it was a bit awkward."

Ashley laughed even harder. "Oh Max, you never fail to entertain me with your stories."

Maxwell breathed a sigh of relief, glad that Ashley seemed to buy his made-up tale. But deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling that Ashley's intuition was sharper than he thought.

Ashley: "Sorry this happened…"

Maxwell laughed nervously, stealing a glance at Akuro, who was holding back his laughter. "It's fine… haha"

Ashley: "Oh right! I will send you the money for the next rent and also some extra for you."

He smiled weakly. "Thanks, Ash... you're the best."

Ashley: "No problem, Max. And also... if you need some help with romance, just ask next time!"

Maxwell rolled his eyes. "Whatever, cupid angel! See you Later" he said sarcastically.

Ashley laughed. "Okay, see you later."

Maxwell hung up and put the phone to the table. He turned around and saw Akuro who was laughing "Man you never cease to amaze me."

Maxwell sigh in frustration "You could have unleast Help me..!"

Akuro chucked as his tails wag slowly behind me "Unfortunately I didn't have idea in my mind but you seem to have fix the situation quite better that I would do."

Maxwell rolls his eyes and decided to eat his food.

Akuro look at him with curiosity "You seem to be really close with you Sister."

"Well yeah…You know, when I was born. I didn't remember anything from my childhood. The only thing i remember is the touch of my sister." Maxwell said with a little tone of sadness.

Akuro stood silent, it seems that Maxwell's back story was quite dark and also sad. Not knowing who your parents were was quite depressing.

Maxwell continued, a somber tone in his voice. "You see, we were quite poor when we were young. But she worked tirelessly, eventually becoming a successful doctor and earning a lot of money."

He paused, memories flooding back. "One day, she told me we were moving to Australia, where she had secured a lucrative job opportunity. But then she saw how hard I was working on my Japanese language skills and my art. She decided that we should live in Japan instead, so she could continue her work in Australia while supporting me from afar."

Akuro listened intently, realizing the sacrifices Maxwell's sister had made for him. It was clear that their bond ran deep, forged through hardship and shared determination.

Akuro: "That's really sweet of her..."

Maxwell nodded. "She worked so hard... so I have to do the same…That's what siblings should do right?"

Akuro looked at the eyes of Maxwell,a strange nostalgic feeling came to him.

"You right…"
