Save Blood Pressure

"You attacked dozens of people," Gin said, ignoring all the fuss, barely summarizing the facts, "and instead of surrendering, they had the audacity to fight back."

And so Ichijō Mirai silenced them all.

"Do you really think I don't know what happened because I wasn't there?"

Is that 'the enemy did not surrender, but fought back'? No, that's 'Ichijō Mirai killed them even though they surrendered on their knees', and Ichijō Mirai chased them down when they jumped off a building to survive.

Finished, off.

Vodka relayed the story in a broken voice, sharing the shock with one click.

That's not the most important thing, the most important thing is: the people this guy killed were members of the organization.

Gin took a deep breath, "The people you took out..."

In the middle of his sentence, Ichijō Mirai interjects, certain: "They were all police."

Gin: "?"

After the slur of 'they rushed over shouting about bond and friendship', there's the slur of 'they're from the police'?

Oh, shortening 'enemies of the police' to 'people of the police'?

Ichijō Mirai: "They were armed."

He slowly explains one of the few things wrong with the members of the organization in this incident, "Some of them carry guns, and they carry the very same police guns."

"The difference between a black gun and a police gun is so obvious," he said, "the gun is so small, the size of the palm of your hand, that it looks like a police gun."

Gin knew that the ambushers were carrying guns that had been lost and registered as stolen by police officers.

It was part of the plan.

As one of the officers, would Ichijō Mirai not recognize a gun? No.

When he saw someone in the public raising a gun, he would take a step in the direction of the organization on the scale of light and darkness, whether or not he realized that there was a hidden connection between the organization's members.

If they don't realize it and think it's just plainclothes police or resting police, then the police think Ichijō Mirai is a criminal, and everyone is happy.

If they find out, the organization will also be responsible for making up the story that 'the police knew about your actions because of a leak, so they ambushed you in advance to catch you in one fell swoop', or that the police thought of Ichijō Mirai as a criminal.

It was a good plan.

But, but...

Gin said in a deep voice, "Anything else?"

Any more human words that a dog could shake its head at?

"Your information was compromised," Ichijō Mirai said bluntly, "I checked the traces of my safe houses and found that they had changed owners three times in the recent past, the first time by normal residents, the second time by these police officers."

The third was Ichijō Mirai.

"These police officers stayed in my safe house for three days at most," he said, "and moved in at the same time."

And he didn't even forget to emphasize 'my safe house'.

"Three days ago, they knew that the organization was going to make a move tonight, and were lurking in a nearby residence, ready to strike with a thunderbolt against you and me."

Gin: "..."

Misunderstood. It fits the plan. It's good.

Everything's fine, but it's just too good to be accepted by anyone who understands human language.

Gin slowed down and said, "It's not always the police who can carry a gun."

"Yes, police officers value their guns and will never leave their hands without an accident, and a few even risk their lives to get them back," he finished dryly, "So what do you think the guy with the gun who isn't a police officer is?"

It's a criminal.

A member of the organization.

It's your partner.

"So," Gin questioned coldly, "do you realize what you've done."

There was no immediate reply on the other end of the line, only the small crunching sounds of walking and clothing, followed by the muffled sound of a heavy object hitting a human body at close range.

The sound of a body falling to the ground and the light landing of a person jumping from a high place rang out, and Ichijō Mirai's relieved voice rang out over the phone, "It's done."

"Almost got caught."

"I'm sorry, what were you saying?"

He asked casually, and when he did, he concluded, "Where was I? The people I killed were police officers, uh, yeah, they were police officers."

"They seemed to be coming in quite a few cars, but they never got too close, and I saw... ah, someone raise their horn."

A distant, indistinct shout came from the other end of the line.

A large group of police were calmly confronting Ichijō Mirai alone, and they were distantly shouting warnings to the bandits that the police had surrounded the area, and that the people inside had better surrender quickly.

Ichijō Mirai exclaimed, "That's a good routine, it's a familiar flavor."

"Every police force knows these lines, right? When I first heard it, I thought it was a police officer I knew, so I looked over my shoulder."

"Why don't they show their heads..."

Following this knowing doubt, he casually wondered, "Have all the surrounding households moved out, and with the police cars being so intrusive, no one woke up, and it's still dark."

Gin: "?"

He laughed and exhaled slowly.

Why are the police afraid to come closer, afraid to show their heads? Why are the people afraid to turn on the lights?

Is it really the police who are disturbing the public?

You pretended not to hear 'You killed your colleague' a little awkwardly.

"And there's no siege, no one at the back at all," Ichijō Mirai added, judging for himself, "They're shouting 'bandits', not me."

"It seems that there is a gang of bandits in the neighborhood who are in the midst of a crime and have been caught by the police... okay, then I'll leave them alone in their pursuit of the bandits."

He solemnly explained to Gin, "Although the police are now chasing the bandits from nowhere, I've already found a temporary place to stay."

"When is the psychiatrist coming? Tomorrow?"

And in a low voice, at a volume where Gin could only hear a few muffled fragments, he pondered, "Does this game refresh at midnight or at 6 o'clock?"

"If it refreshes at 6 o'clock, then I complete the temporary residence mission before 6 o'clock, and the psychologist will refresh after 6 o'clock."

"There's still an hour and a half until six."

He said to himself, "I'll hold out another hour and a half?"

Gin only heard the last sentence, he: "..."

The car was a little dark, so his eyes went black, and the car was a little stuffy, so stuffy that his blood pressure rushed up a little.

He ordered, almost through gritted teeth, "Now, retreat."

Just in case, 'No, I can't get out, let's play for another hour and a half,' and immediately added, "I'll send someone to get you."

"Sending a member of the organization."

It's a member of the organization.

So, "No killing."

"I hope," Gin said in a tone so cold that it almost froze, and still speaking through clenched teeth, "that you're not picking on members of the Organization."

Ichijō Mirai: "That's not true."

"The main thing is that they had the lights on, and at four in the morning with the lights on and people hanging out of the windows, it was obvious that they were going to ambush you, wasn't it? I am bound to not let you in danger, even if only 0.001% probability."

He argued, "They resisted."

"What's the point of being a member of the organization? They don't trust me at all, they don't have any feelings for me as a colleague."

"And they had a gun."

"It's so unusual, it's hard for me not to do it, and..."

"I think they've gone rogue," Ichijō Mirai said seriously, "and I'm wanted."

"Kill them, I'm wanted."

"How can you be wanted for killing criminals, don't you think? It means they're not criminals."

...

He admitted it.

He admits he found out those guys were Organization members.

He admits that he found out that the guys he killed were Organization members, and he's saying things that would make a dog shake its head.

He's crazy.

Gin took a slow, deep breath, "Why are you wanted..."

"Don't you know better than that?!"
