Entering

All of the instructors fell into unconsciousness, and the dormitory building fell silent once again, more silent than it had been at first.

The freshmen in the entire building woke up amidst the noise of gunfire, but they all adhered to the instinctive talents of the human camp and didn't dare to wake up.

In the silence, there was the sound of someone climbing over the stairs and landing lightly on the ground. Furuya Rei paused for a moment before speaking from the white mist, "You said that there might be an instructor breaking through the mist, so you asked me to wait on the stairs with a gun. The second layer of defense I am responsible for is very important."

Matsuda Jinpei's voice came faintly from the second floor directly above, "You said that the instructor might rush up to the second floor during a surprise attack and escape the trap range on the first floor, so you asked me to set the trap. The trap I'm responsible for is very important. It's the last barrier before the dormitory falls."

There were sounds of footsteps stomping down the stairs at high speed. Kenji Hagiwara came down from the top floor, leaned on the handrail and exhaled a half-breath of air, trying to keep the sound as low as possible so that only they could hear it. "You said, Instructor Onidzuka is our man. We need an important person with quick wits to contact Instructor Onidzuka at the critical moment. I have an important responsibility."

There were footsteps coming from far away in the corridor on the first floor. Morofushi Hiromitsu added with a smile, "You said that the instructors might not know the direction and might rush into the deep of the first floor to take hostages. It is very important for me and Wataru-san to resolutely avoid hostage incidents."

Finally, there was Wataru Date's voice.

"You took care of everyone by yourself, Kujō-san?"

He was a little slow to understand the slight grimace of teeth that the others had put into their voices at first.

But even more so, he didn't understand Ichijō Mirai's serious, not a little bit conspiratorial or flirtatious, but genuinely bewildered, "Didn't you say that you couldn't handle that many people, and that you just took care of a few of them quickly before the instructors could react?"

...How did you get rid of all of them?

Sincerity is a must, and Ichijō Mirai has some non-existent shame.

But how can a player allow an NPC to rob his kills? That's the bottom line, and isn't it only right for a righteous player to take all the kills by some small means!

Facing the ultimate move, Ichijō Mirai held on to his bottom line, and said calmly, "It was beyond my expectation that I could defeat the instructors so easily. It seems that I am lucky."

"Please help ventilate the air and get the instructors off the ground," he added, "and calm the other students."

"They don't know what's going on, and they're in fear of a night attack."

Cleaning the battlefield and comforting classmates are also one of the review criteria for the completion of the 'Unforeseen Incident: Instructor Night Raid', and it has nothing to do with the number of kills. Since the NPCs strongly protested that they only have a sense of participation, as a kind-hearted player with a strong sense of morality, Ichijō Mirai can only meet their strong demands for increasing their sense of participation.

As for Ichijō Mirai...

"Then, go to sleep."

Through the ceiling floor, Matsuda Jinpei could hear Ichijō Mirai's yawning voice as he dismantled the traps, and asked in a very puzzled manner, "Aren't you all sleepy?"

"It's 2:43:56 in the morning."

"Sleepy."

Matsuda Jinpei's hand paused in dismantling the trap, and he slowly gazed down at the floor, a question mark inevitably popping up over his head: "?"

'Aren't you all sleepy?' Huh?

Why were they still awake at 2:43 in the morning? Was it because they had woken up naturally together just a moment ago?

Okay, he hadn't slept at all, he was waiting for Ichijō Mirai, so he deserved to hear this, but what about the others?

"You," Matsuda Jinpei was speechless, gnashing his false tooth, "you can still sleep?"

He emphasized the point, "The instructors tried to make a night attack, and failed, and were put down by the new students, and that's the kind of thing that, tomorrow, when they wake up, they're going to..."

It's a bit of a mess.

Will the instructors praise them? Will they punish them?

Whatever the attitude, all the instructors and new students would find it strange.

"That's for after sunrise," Ichijō Mirai said as he headed upstairs, "I'm going to end this long night."

And with an uncharacteristic pep talk, "Come on, guys."

He opened the doors one by one, managed to find his own room in the silence that kept the other freshmen from coming to their senses, and almost as soon as he sat down, he saw a bright light come on.

The light was from the screen of a cell phone, which came from Ichijō Mirai's pants pocket, and he reached for it and pulled it out.

The phone shows a blank number dialed.

Ichijō Mirai: "Huh."

Factors such as 'undercover', 'alone', and 'unusual phone calls' can form a classic event: an undercover agent who has infiltrated the police received a call from his boss when he was alone.

He picks up the phone.

In the long dark night, he hears a familiar and very familiar voice, "How many people are dead."

It was familiar because the tone of the voice was very calm, but vaguely resigned, a tone Ichijō Mirai was used to hearing from others.

It was familiar because the speaker was indeed an acquaintance: Gin.

Gin.

On the other side, it was Gin, who appeared in [Year 0].

Ichijō Mirai subconsciously glanced at [Year 3] in the upper left corner, immediately filed it away, and greeted him with a bit of surprise, "Wow, hi."

Phone: "..."

After a deathly silence, Gin said coldly: "My insider told me that there were gunshots coming from the freshman dormitory building of the police academy. The preliminary estimate is no less than 20 gunshots."

"On the first day," he said, "how many people died?"

Wow.

Still the familiar rookie NPC, still the familiar tone.

"Now, I'm an undercover agent," Ichijō Mirai expertly ignored the question and launched into a familiar platitude, "an undercover agent sent into the police by the Black Organization, right?"

No one at the police academy knew about Ichijō Mirai's [Organization Newcomer] status, not even Onidzuka Hachizo, who only knew about the past case. Ichijō Mirai couldn't ask anyone else, but had to ask the familiar rookie guide NPCs of the unfamiliar timeline to confirm the clues.

On the other end of the phone, Gin was silent again: "..."

Without waiting for Ichijō Mirai to ask for more confirmation, he finally spoke, emphasizing, "Well, you are someone sent into the police by the organization."

Gin was very emphatic, "You're a member of the police."

"Hang up."

The call cuts off, and a system alert pops up.
