King's Dignity

It was an uneventful farewell. Time continued to flow on normally, as if nothing had happened.

Melchior appreciated her greatly. It had only been a few days since he met Circe, but she had already done so much for him.

A day had passed since then. He had done nothing but sit around and circle energy all day. The mines were closed until the situation had calmed down. And even if they weren't, he wouldn't go, anyway.

As a thank you and apology, the town head removed the punishment he got for insulting Elias back then.

"A thank you for saving the town and an apology since Elias turned out to be a terrible piece of shit," he chuckled. "Tch, I should have gotten more."

He didn't care too much about that, right now, he just relaxed. Well, or that was what he hoped would happen.

Just as Circe had told him, the white cloaks appeared at his doorstep while everyone was out. No one was around but him, and that was when the Golden Lion member showed up.
