Then the tension reappeared, heavier than before. It was far heavier than the time Vepas tried to use the mist to press down on them. This man, whoever he was, wasn't a simple person at all.

"We're just heading to get some rest, Belial. It was a long journey, after all."

The man known as Belial chuckled slowly, his deep soothing voice contrasted heavily with his appearance.

"Of course, I'm aware of that. I have no qualms. I'm more confused as to who this boy is, and why he's here."

His disdain for Melchior was unconcealed.

"He's a recruit we got from Blackmount. I can't discuss the details openly here, but he's a talented one. He'll be joining as soon as we're done resting."

Belial shook his masked head. "I can't allow him to enter."
