Martha narrowed her eyes at one of the guards, who just gave her the incredible news.
"Julian has already finished one of nine vials?"
"That is correct," the guard confirmed.
"We have checked through all security footage. Mr. Julian Haas has worked on one particular vial for days, and he finally finished yesterday. It is stored apart from the other eight vials in the refrigerator box."
"I see..."
Martha bit into her thumb as she paced back and forth in her living quarters, trying to make up her mind.
One out of nine.
Of course, it was too much to expect all nine to be finished at the same time.
It made more sense to finish them one by one.
One vial took Julian what, a week? Eight days?
